50%, 25%, 15%, 10% would be pretty fair but also gives a 50/50 shot of getting the first pick.

65% 20%, 10%, 5% if you're trying to have the worst team get the first pick more often than not.

My league does the bottom 3 teams for the lottery and we only draw for the first pick. The worst team is given 38 out of 75 chances, next is given 25 out of 75 chances, and the last team is given 12 out of 75 chances. We spin the balls once and whichever number comes up gets the top prize. It helps with tanking, but it also only rewards the worst of teams since only half of the non playoff teams are eligible.

This

We have bottom 4 teams in the 4/3/2/1 distribution for ping pong balls, winner of toilet bowl gets an extra ping pong ball which adds some fun and doesn't overly change the changes. Often tho, it's the 3rd or 4th place team that gets an extra 9%

Edit, that base 4/3/2/1 gives worst team a 40% chance at 1.01, but also a 72% chance at a top 2 pick

it's all well and good to put out some percentages and pick the number of balls accordingly, but i feel the main issue is being overlooked here: how many ping pong balls can a thai stripper fit in her vagina?
i'd start from there...

We do 6 team who missed the playoffs and we have 21 balls which use a bingo spinner thing.
The percentages are 28 - 23 -19 -14 -9 - 4. Only the top 3 spots are in the lottery, so the worst team can’t fall below 1.04.

Gives a nice fun thing to do in the offseason where most of us meet up to get drinks. Kinda of curbs tanking, also it gives trading for future picks fun. It’s great to root for a team to barely miss the playoffs and then the pick you traded for which was supposed be a 1.06 turn into the 1.02.

Hi everyone, I know this thread has been kinda dead for more than a year, but I have a question about ping-pong balls.
Some time ago I bought a robot for practicing my skills. You know while the lockdown it's pretty hard to find a partner to play with, moreover, the robot would never get a virus. Anyway, at first, I was more or less satisfied with it, but with time I realized that balls go out of it a little slower than I expected. I checked everything and I think the reason might be in my old balls and probably it's time to change them. Can you recommend any? If it would make sense for you, I'm talking about the Practice Partner Table Tennis Robot.
