Yet teams still passed on him in the 7th round? That makes no sense. Somebody might have had him as a 3rd round grade, but it wasn't an NFL GM.
I believe he is referring to the NFL.com rankings.
Right. So I guess they were way off, then. It happens. Can't get them all right.
Talent wise some had him as a third rounder. Just because someone goes undrafted, it doesn't mean they are an undrafted level talent. I thought he looked pretty promising in college. He has a cannon and can run. His accuracy isn't the greatest, but he also played for a lesser team.

Bruce Anderson- not sure he is the most talented but seems like he has enough to surprise and in a great situation for a shot as the Rb 1 in Tampa

I was going to mention him. Would seem that very little stands in his way. Not sure if the community is down on him, not aware of him, or wants keep quiet so they can get him...

Who? Not any NFL team, that was my point. If a guy is a 3rd round grade on NFL teams boards, he's not going undrafted. Teams aren't drafting for need in the 7th round and passing on a guy that has a 3rd round grade on their board. Maybe some analysts had him as a 3rd round grade, but I don't believe for a second that any NFL team had a draft board with his name on it as a third round grade. There is no way a guy goes undrafted if teams have a 3rd round grade on a player, unless there are massive character or injury red flags that cause teams to pass on him.

Elijah "The Real Deal" Holyfield.

I own him in all 3 of my leagues, iirc. Love his tape, his grittiness and his pedigree (both as a Georgia RB and a son of Evander Holyfied). I also actually like the landing spot, in Carolina. CMC is the clear #1 there, but I doubt the Panthers will keep feeding him the ball, when a lot of other teams (who are contending for championships) are dialing back some of their star RBs (Rams, Denver, etc.). Why waste all that talent to pound the ball for 3-5 yards when you can use another (cheaper) dude to do it. Would love to see Carolina get creative and use CMC and EH on the field at the same time, with CMC sometimes in the back field and sometimes slipping out into the slot or anywhere else they can draw it up.

Solid post and agree with everything stated so far. I loaded the back end of my roster with these types of cheap pickups after our rookie draft.

I'm stashing:

Preston Williams, Morgan Stanley, Emmanuel Hall, Elijah Holyfield.

The other guy I'm stashing that fits this category is Emmanuel Butler. Elite college domimator, YPR and Breakout age. He ran a 4.53 at 6'3 217lbs.

Still, Jackson and those around him always assumed that entry point would be as a draft pick, as high as a third-rounder, according to some projections.

Some people, like I said, had him as a third round grade. He was obviously pretty sure he was a draft pick from the research he did. I thought the guy was going to be drafted. As a runner, he is pretty talented.

Cool. That's fine. My only point was it clearly wasn't the NFL that did. These people clearly had him viewed differently to the NFL. I'm not saying you are wrong. I'm saying these people graded him differently than the NFL did.

Another guy I like who nobody's really talking about is Jalin Moore, RB from Appaplachian State, who signed with the Jets.
Had never heard of this guy.
Just went and watched a quick highlight tape. Holy shite he looks solid

Maybe not THE most talented - but I like Greg Dortch as a flier.

Stanley Morgan Jr is my main one. I had him as my WR4 coming into the draft and can't believe he went undrafted

Alex Barnes is my next choice. I was hoping he would go to Tampa because he kind of reminds me of David Johnson and I thought Arians would love him.

Those are my 2 main targets as far as undrafted guys.
