Undervalued win-now players

Postby slaughterrt » Sat Jun 01, 2019 8:00 am

Looking for some undervalued win-now type players who I can get for “cheap” and who will outperform their value.

Guys like Golden Tate who’s value is depressed but would be a solid WR3.

Those type of guys. Looking to buy some win-now guys and capitalize on rookie love.

Marqise Lee, and he might even have some long term upside. His injury issues and the chaos in Jacksonville have made him somewhat of a forgotten man, but he still has WR3+ talent.

I find the following players to be cheap as hell for their value as higher end fantasy starters, and helpful for a contender for the next few seasons:

QB - Ryan, Brees, Cousins

RB - D Williams

WR - K Allen, A Brown, AJ Green, A Robinson, A Jeffery, M Jones, J Edelman

TE - Kelce

Strikes me as it is hard to find good value for buying contending RBs. That market is tapped for value wherever you go. You are best off buying young upside RBs and drafting RBs than trading for the older elite ones like Bell, DJ, Gordon etc. They are way too pricey. Damien Williams is the only clear undervalued RB to buy ASAP that I see right now and that should change over the next few months as casuals catch on to his true value. He’ll go from 1x1st right now(extreme value to buy at) to 2-2.5x1sts later in summer/fall.

Lots of good WR values out there for what they are going for in trades. All of the guys listed above after Keenan I have seen go for a 1st + random prospect or less. I added Keenan because I saw him go for a late 1st + Christian Kirk recently and was astounded at that value.

Kelce seems like a strange one to put at undervalued but I own him everywhere, have at least pondered selling him at his peak, but he is basically a second round startup(at worst early third), and his going price is like 2x1sts? No no no that is HUGE undervalue and if you can buy him for that do it.

Agree on Marquise Lee. Marvin Jones for sure with all the Kenny love. Funchess if you believe. Id also say Robbie Anderson, think he is a good player in a great situation and should be getting more love. At Rb Penny is a good gamble if you can get him. Qb id say staffords value is very low right now. Te there are too many values to count

D. Freeman- I know the last 2 years there have been injury issues but I'm willing to roll the dice that he will stay healthy and if he does you will have a high RB1 at a low RB2 price. Other RB's many are investing in seem to be less proven and on weaker offenses, with Freeman you know he will produce when on the field and you are investing in a key volume rushing & receiving player in a very high powered offense.

Rb: Ingram, lat Murray

Wr: Edelman seems like a good one. I’ve seen thielen go for lower than I’d have though it some leagues,l

Ertz seems like great value right now. He’s still likely a top 2 TE in 2019, but people are discounting him because of Goedert. I got him in 2 different leagues this offseason for what I think is great value.

Others I like:
Alshon Jeffery
Austin Hooper
Aaron Jones
Cam Newton
Julian Edelman
Jared Cook
Lamar Miller
Royce Freeman
Latavius Murray

Tyler Eifert should be pretty cheap...
Jeffery.. I got him for a 1.12
Mack.. I got Mack and 1.11 for 1.02, Brate and 3.07

I think AJG could be cheap if on a rebuild team..
most players depend on the team that owns him... I am a playoff team each year and I own AJG and Antonio.. I wouldn't trade them unless I got an offer I couldn't refuse...
team 1 -start QB RB 2WR TE 2RB/WR 1WR/TE
qbs=5pt tds wr/te=1 ppr rbs=.5ppr all get .25ppc
Watson, Brady, Mills
Ekeler, Hunt, Carson/Penny, DForeman, Mitchell, CPat, Kyren, Ford, KHarris
Cooper, sutton, Chase, Shepard, Atwell, Schwartz, Wan'Dale, Austin III
Gesicki, Engram, Hooper, Woods
team 2 -start QB 2RB 3WR TE 2Flex K D
Cousins, Stafford
DH JT, Ekeler, Kylin Hill, Herbert, KHarris, Chandler
Hopkins, Diggs, Adams, Godwin, McLaurin, Callaway, DPJ, Robby Anderson, Schwartz, Pierce, Wan'Dale, Doubs
Kelce, Andrews, Jacob Harris

Delanie Walker is virtually free and I bet he is a TE1 this year.

- Alshon Jeffery (I suspect D-Jax drawing safety help over the top could actually benefit Jeffery's stats)
- Jarvis Landry (I'm seeing Landry's ADP as WR30 some places -- edit: that's redraft ADP -- which I think is absurd)
- Albert Wilson (probably a deep dive, but analytics and graders sneaky-like Wilson)
- Jamison Crowder (I think he could surprise in fantasy if Darnold's year two growth is enough)

I am digging these suggestions. A couple of these guys I own...but there are definitely some guys listed that I’m going to inquire about.

A lot of these guys are pretty cheap, which is good, but even the more expensive guys who are currently on the cheap(er) side (relatively speaking of course) are worth a mention.
