This will come off sarcastically, but it's genuine... When did he have chemistry with him before? His name came out of the blue for me last year. Was he just preseason hype before as well? Thanks
Yeah, last preseason. The reason he go hype was based on Rodgers going out of his way to talk him up and great preseason game performances.

More Kumerow articles - he seems to be aware he has a good shot of breaking out this year. Regardless this is definitely a year in which one of him, MVS or E St Brown could have a strong presence.

The Athletic also put out a (fairly) recent article with multiple paragraphs of Rodgers raving about Kumerow. No longer have a subscription to them though, and don't want to quote from memory.

It seems probable to me that the Packers will go without a defined WR2 or WR3 on the team, and rather opt to use a mix of guys. All of Allison/MVS/Kumerow/St. Brown offer different skillsets, and the coaching staff should be playing to the strengths of whoever's on the field at a time. Moore seems like the odd man out of a crowded room, but even he's getting some offseason hype.

Most news coming out of camp suggesting MVS is running away with the number 2 job. Kumerow is probably a bit of reach to get number 3 duties behind St Brown and Moore at this point. The positive speak is intriguing but the most likely outcome still appears to be relative obscurity for Kumerow

He was getting all the same rave reviews last year and they stashed him on IR because he wasn't quite good enough to make the team, but too good to try and put on the practice squad and likely have him poached by another team.

He was placed on IR due to a sprained shoulder sustained in the preseason, and was activated to the 53-man roster when healthy.

Agreed that MVS is a favorite for No. 2 duties, with Allison as the other top candidate. But I don't see Green Bay operating with a true WR2, like say Mike Williams should be to KA or Godwin should be to Evans.
