He also has Kelce and like what was mentioned earlier, he likes his depth with Kittle and passed.
I cant imagine too many people would accept that trade at this moment in time. TE is a tough position to have reliable production at and Penny has done squat. A 2nd two years out moves the needle barely at all.

This is so true but people don't value a TE for squat unless it's Kelce or Ertz. I got Kittle to backup Rudolph (and now start over him) when Hunter Henry got hurt.

I may just hold all three of them next year as no one will pay what they're worth

I ended up starting Kittle and went O.J. in the flex instead of Jaylan Richard.

Actually what's funny about that to me is that's the exact advice I got from a "friend" about Gronkowski vs. Kittle.

Don't remind me! Did the same thing this year in our rookie/FA draft. Two weeks ago I offered Burton + 3rd for Kittle, just to get the ball rolling (didn't expect that to get accepted, but we're all Eagles fans so Burton has some special biased value in our league lol). He understandably declines, but before we can discuss more, he pivots and sells Kittle + 2nd for Alex Collins like two hours later  I was like "damn I didn't know he was that desperate for RBs, I could've made a better RB offer than that!" Hate when people don't follow up with trade discussions.

Sorry for the vent. Anyway I think Kittle got a very lucky statline last night but it still hurt to see. And luck or not he showed again he's capable of making big plays. I still like Burton but right now I'm just hoping some switch flips and all of Kittle's production/abilities get sapped by Burton. Normally I don't care about making the "wrong" choice between two players because it's inevitable and will happen all the time... but this one was in my mind for the entire off-season leading up to our draft so it's leaving me extra salty.

I was lucky to grab Kittle off of waivers last year for free. Been enjoying the ride ever since. Played him and Goodwin last night, so the Goodwin play didn't work in my favor. Also traded Hyde and Barber for Burton so I have a decent back up just in case. Its good to see that even with San Frans 3rd string QB Kittle was still able to perform and was targeted.

Same. Didn’t know what to expect out of him this year, but tbh ive watched and he looks like a top 3 TE. Made some incredible catches and plays that show his athleticism and skills are no joke
I may or may not be related to Bryan Edwards

I’m another Kittle and Burton owner, seems like a common combo. Got Kittle as a udfa right after our 2017 rookie draft and then Burton for free on waivers later in the season.
Textbook examples of projecting physical talent (Kittle) and future opportunity (Burton). Cheers to everyone that jumped on for free

I think I'm moving him up to tied with Henry at TE5 with a legit shot to move up to as high as 3 by the end of the year (passing Gronk and Engram)

I agree with all of this, besides the Engram part. He is last on the young TE tier behind Kittle/Henry/Howard/Njoku. They're all really close though. Maybe Engram can turn it around

Engram had 722 and 6 last year as “last man standing” (yes I know his rookie year) and is on pace for 290 and 4 this year (with miserable Eli). He’s incredibly athletic, albeit undersized. His QB situation (now and future) is as murky/ugly as you can find in the NFL. He’s got heavy competition for targets and isn’t exactly a red zone big guy (like a Kyle Rudolph for example). His athleticism is crazy good though. https://www.playerprofiler.com/nfl/evan-engram/

In comparison, Kittle has 515 and 2 as a rookie. ~200 yards and 4 TDs less, but was NOT given last man standing treatment, even at his own position (Celek was taking productive snaps). He’s on pace for 1230 and 5.3. Just a touch more than Engram’s productive pace of 290. He’s also incredibly athletic and only a little bit undersized. His QB situation (now and future) is not looking so bad. He IS the biggest red zone factor in that passing game. Here’s a snapshot of his athleticism. https://www.playerprofiler.com/nfl/george-kittle/

I say all this to point out...maybe you are hanging onto your offseason speculation a little too tight if Engram is still over Kittle.
