amen cc.... there is no way that you can let a te being valued in the top 50 or so get in the way of a deal.

in your instance.....offering the the future 1st or hh....let alone combining them. some just cant resist.

long term...we just dont know. but you have a title in the bag and the more valuable player for now.

in terms of hh.....he is a solid prospect. we all knew about him...likely going in the top 25-30 if not higher. the fact that rivers targets te's upped his value.....and then the gates injury sent things into full swing. he's a top 50 i guess (for awhile)....and then things settle and we all believe that we can "wait"on te.

in an a orphan "major rebuild"...i offered crow for hh, and it was rejected by a contender set to win with the addition of a rb2. i prefer crow here, but i do like the long term thoughts of henry. i honestly thought that would have been that fella selling high on hh. admittedly though, i feel i was selling high on crow.

the value is somewhere in the middle, right now.

sounds like it would have a been a win win deal , perhaps when crow gets off at the start of the season you can get even more from that manager or another , good luck .

Gave: Hunter Henry, 2018 2nd (my own which is probably 2.04-2.06)
Received: 2018 1st (in the 1.07-1.12 range but I'd imagine it's closer to 1.07), Mike Gillislee
If you think now is the time to sell high why would you do this? So you moved up from 2.4 to 1.12 (projected) a year out and gave up potentially a top 5 dynasty TE to do so and only got Gillislee? I'd just rather trade him for a 1st to somebody if you wanted to move him like the other deal. This doesn't seem like like getting very much value.
Well I mean worst case scenario yeah I move up 4 spots, which would then pretty much be giving him away. It's a bit of a gamble, but if the pick is in the 1.07-1.09 range as I expect, then it gets harder to move. We see it every year, people want close to a 1st to move back from that range to a mid 2nd. Plus, I am probably the leader behind the Mike Gillislee fan club. Not to get off topic, but I think he could almost fetch me a 1st in about 90 days.

I just think the main reason to sell him if you aren't a huge believer is the fact that the market for TE's is never a huge one, and you can find better values in the draft (Everett, Shaheen, Kittle, etc). You can always buy a Delanie Walker or other veteran TE's to give you low end TE1 or better production and use the high draft capital on positions that develop faster.

Curious what Henry is worth in 2019 picks. First time posting a poll sorry if I screwed it up. I have been drinking some, 😂

I'm pretty high on Henry, but its tough to sell a TE for more than a mid 2019 first with the amount of young TE talent with Kittle, Howard, Engram, Njoku.

Nice poll! Better than one where the middle option was "or" lol

Hes worth an early 1st. If there was a rookie TE like him in the draft youd take him around late 1st but then youd have to wait a few years AND hope he pans out.

Hes a top 5 TE for me right there with Howard and Kittle and slightly ahead of Njoku and more so than Engram

If we're talking a 1TE league, I'm not paying an early first for Henry. I'd only do that for Kelce or Ertz, who will typically have more WR-type games in the box score.

I think a mid 1st is the most I could talk myself into if I had a clear hole in the lineup.

For my Sig 2 I want to throw another playoff team an offer for him but I don't want to give up anything to key to the playoff run AND I'm out of picks basically. I was thinking maybe davis but he's so hard to project part of me says that's to much part of me says that's to little

He's still a top 5 dynasty, I dunno that I'd even sell him for an early 1st without knowing more about the class.

Man, if HH is currently worth an early first, what is Kittle worth?

I drafted Hunter Henry in his 2016 rookie draft with my 1.09 pick. 12 team, 2 TE league.

There are maybe three tight ends I'd pay a first for and Henry is not one of them.

I might pay an early 1st but I would feel better paying a late first. As an owner of Henry Hes not for sale. Wait until spring training next year and the hype gets out of control and then revisit this thread. Might see some different answers

I'm just thinking what it would take for me to part with kelce right now I dont think I'd do it for 2 firsts your almost are garunteed twice as many points from your tight end as your opponent
