Well owning kiddie porn is completely different from walking into a legal establishment since owning that material is illegal. Last I checked walking into a legal business is not owning something nor is it illegal. As for the crackhouse once again an illegal activity not so with the pot shop he walked into. So your 2 "counter arguments" are the weak points. Yes he was seen walking into a legal establishment. You instantly jump to "he's a pothead". Is it good optics for him? Nope but he did absolutely nothing wrong and it does not make him a pothead.

That is a bad analogy. Playing in 1 re-draft & 1 dynasty league probably doesnt make you a fantasy football addict, while playing in 40 dynasty/best ball/keeper/etc leagues might. Same with having an occasional beer/joint/one night stand.

You can smoke pot, drink beer, or have sex without being considered addicted, as those activities are not inherently addictive but there are still people who can become addicted to those activities.

Plus robbing the pizza guy only makes you a felon if you get convicted.

So yeah - optics bad - proof of being a regular pot smoker yet to be determined.

BTW I completely agree with ninotore...I've smoked pot a few times in my life but I am not a pothead. I know people who wake and bake every morning...they are potheads.

Dude, what are you talking about? It was a head shop in Seattle (where weed is legal), how is this a huge thing? I bet he'll get notified on Monday that he'll have to take a "random" drug test next week and he'll pass it.

It's not nothing, though. Surely you can see that. His owner is upset. There are lots of things he could have done that day. While pot is legal in Seattle, it is a banned substance in the NFL. Elliott made a poor choice by going there. It draws attention to himself in the wrong way,as his owner has basically stated. Who knows whether he smokes or not? You or I certainly don't. He is also under investigation for domestic violence, which hasn't been proven, and has been refuted by Elliott. There seems to be little to it, but who knows? It would certainly be better for his team and his Dynasty owners if these things had not popped up.

Hate to link Bleacher Report but yeah. I feel like most players use and it's very easy not to get caught. Zeke, should he have wanted something from that headshop, could have very easily have sent in a surrogate. Let's be real now, Aaron Hernandez, despite reports of him doing PCP and smoking weed every day, was never in the program. I can tell you all that 1 month before the NFL draft in 2012, I got very high with a certain Florida St. OT that was a day 3 selection that year.
