I thought there was a different Evans thread but this was all I could find.

He is now the second WR in NFL history to start his career with six consecutive 1000 yard seasons.

Let the record show - this thread was NEVER created to doubt Evans. He is one of my favorite players in the game, and I've never wavered in doubting him.

I just noticed some (apparently superficial) parallels between some of his numbers and measurements and Hakeem butler.

Week to week he might not be the most consistent but over the course of a season he is a lock for 1000 yards, ability and durability are some of the best in the league. Dude is an Ironman

Evans will be in the HOF at this rate. Shame he doesn't always get the credit he deserves because he plays for the Buccaneers.

He is the closest thing we have to a Megatron in this league now. Such a joy to watch.

Evans crushed the SEC and went bonkers at the combine. He was 10x the prospect Watkins was, he was extremely rare.

Not to doubt Evans but surely the Bucs were almost a best case scenario for him? A gunslinger of a QB who isn't afraid to throw 50-50 catches to Evans. If I he went to the Browns or Dolphins etc we may not be talking about his 6th 1000 yard season.

Not knocking Evans, more defending the Bucs as a landing spot for wrs.

Wow. I didn't think he already hit 1000. Especially in a "down" year it would seem with all the Godwin hype.

Who was the other WR?

Gotta be Jerry Rice, 11 consecutive starting with his sophmore year in the league, would be a longer streak if it werent for a season ending injury early in year 13

I'm so sad I took Watkins over Evans in the league I had the 1.01.

Can't believe he is only 26!!

The stat accounts for the 'start' of the career of the respective player, and unfortunately Jerry Rice came just short of 1000 in his first year in the league. Otherwise, he would blow it out of the water and no one would be close.

...either way, both names are some great company to be in.
