He's an amazing slot guy. catches everything thrown to him and is great on short routes. He's one of my favorite WRs in this draft and I was surprised he wasn't drafted.

Doesnt seem like a freak to me. But his path to the playtime is very easy.

tested poorly, don't disagree there, but he is a massive target with lots of playmaking traits. Lots of risk too!

Here is from nfl.com

Williams starred for the Rams as a junior, earning first-team All-Mountain West honors after finishing among the nation's leaders with 96 receptions for 1,345 yards (14.0 average) and 14 touchdowns.

Here is dynastyleaguefootball conclusion

Preston Williams is a player I was much, much higher on before the pre-draft process began. I entered this off-season expecting to leave every rookie draft with Williams on my team, and considered him a top-five receiver in this class on talent alone. However, his tape leaves much to be desired in terms of consistency, and that is a hard thing to overlook.

Travis Fulgham from ODU - sticky hands, big bodied WR. Has above average speed, not much wiggle at his size. Had 9-188-1td vs Va Tech. Looked like the best player on the field that day.

Preston Williams, WR, Miami. Has a path to playing time. Has had multiple off-field issues at both schools he attended. He's a "changed person" for what that's worth. Was expected to be a Day 2 NFL pick. Started at Tennessee. Played one year for Colorado State. 96-1340-14TDs last season.

Quincy Williams from Jacksonville hes a LB and Telvin Smith is stepping away for this year, and their isn't a lot in front of him for playing time.

for starters he ran 4.5ish, not a 4.66. He wasn't prepared for his pro day though, I'll give you that. He also posted 3-98-2TD his first game played as a true FR then had a string of issues, tanking that breakout age.

not saying I disagree. but how are you not ready for your pro day? what does that say about him as a player? or was he injured?

maybe he is poor and can't hire a trainer? maybe he's been caring for his newborn? or likely it's just another red flag.
