Revisiting after Week 3..

Kyler Murray will finish as a top 3 fantasy QB -
QB10 right now, hopefully he starts to hit a rhythm on the ground

Ryan Tannehill will be a league-winner after stealing Marcus Mariota's job -
Titans 1-2 and rumors of Tannehill eventually taking over

Both Alvin Kamara AND Christian McCaffrey will top 1000yd rushing and 1000yd receiving on the season -
Kamara 211/179 on track for 1125/955 and CMC 318/132 on track for 1696/704.. a lot can change here in either direction

Saquon Barkley will NOT finish as a top 10 fantasy RB -
currently RB13 in PPR and dealing with a high ankle sprain - get well soon Saquon :boohoo:

Josh Gordon will finish as a top 10 fantasy WR -
WR48 in PPR, AB gone now, looked good last week

Tyreek Hill will finish as a top 5 fantasy WR despite the length of his suspension -
injured so far, reports he's coming back soon, not wearing a sling

Evan Engram will be a top 2 fantasy TE -
TE1 in PPR

Apart from Engram and Barkleys injury, which is hard to predict, you arent doing so well, regardless the spin you are putting on it. You have your blinders on is all im saying. Dont let it keep you from making the correct analysis on these players if you get trade offers for them.

4) Jameis Winston & Derek Carr are both top 10 QBs
5) At least 4 rookie quarterbacks will be starting by week nine despite the "plan to develop" logic

You've got Murray/Minshew/Jones already, and the way Keenum yesterday one has to think that Haskins is coming up soon

Not trying to put a spin on it, more hopeful than anything

Pretty sure a large majority of Sammy owners would do a straight up swap of Sammy for ARob today if offered.

I'm just happy to be the proud owner of neither of them.

Lord_Varys wrote: Thu May 16, 2019 10:40 am Flag: Derrick Henry is a stud RB1 and a first round pick this time next year.
Why: Once they committed to give him volume, he was a freak. He won't repeat that pace, especially at the start of the year as defenses are more fresh, but they'll sprinkle more targets his way (only 18 in 2018 for goodness sake), and the volume from the start of the year will be enough to get him into the top 8-10 RBs. Furthermore, he did all that damage with a mostly bad OL and a bad scheme -- he had one of the lowest yards-before-first-contact in the league. Saffold is going to make a world of difference. And Arty Smith has alluded to using more of a power scheme, which fits Henry better than outside zone. It's taken the Titans long enough to realize how to use this freak, but they've finally figured it out, and Henry is going to dominate this year. Flag planted.

Flag: Le'Veon Bell is going to bust.
Why: He took a year off the game. His OL goes from top 5 to arguably bottom 5. Gase is a complete bleep. Whether its risk of injury or lower volume or lower efficiency, he has every red flag. I wouldn't touch him until late in the second round.

Flag: Jameis Winston will be a top 5 QB and you could draft every part of that passing offense and have a good fantasy season, a la LAR in 2018.
Why: The defense sucks still, so there'll be plenty of game script. Arians will actually allow him to throw to running backs which will decrease turnovers and increase scoring. TB QB was QB5 last year, and now he'll have all of it to himself. Arians is a QB whisperer and offensive guru.

Flag: Tyler Lockett is a fantasy WR1 this year.
Why: He was a mid WR2 on 80 targets last year. His scoring rate might regress, but his volume will increase substantially. DK Metcalf is great and all, but he is a low-volume, high-impact player. Lockett sliding into the slot will get him the dependable volume role that Baldwin has always had, and even though you can knock some volume off because they're so run heavy, it will still be enough for Lockett to finish top 12.
Don't normally like patting myself on the back, but damn these were good!
  • Derrick Henry is RB7 in half PPR, RB5 in standard. He's the centerpiece. He's good.
  • Le'Veon Bell is currently RB24. He had several red flags, and it looks like the OL, Gase, and general slowness are all holding him down.
  • Winston isn't top 5 currently. He's just QB9. And you couldn't have drafted OJ Howard. BUT... You could have drafted both Evans and Godwin and you'd be crushing it.
  • Tyler Lockett is WR4 overall in half PPR. He's a WR1.
