Godwin is somewhat intriguing, but my biggest problem with him is that he's buried on a depth chart full of good receivers. McCaffrey, Moore, and Samuels will all command more targets, and possibly Olsen/Thomas as well.

It looks like your league rosters 36 players on offense, and you own DJ Moore, so it makes sense for you to roster Godwin. However, outside of super deep leagues like yours, I'm not sure Godwin is worth rostering, even as an end-of-the-bench stash. Godwin seems like more of a "keep on the watch list" type of player in case of injury to Moore or Samuels.

Very fair, and I agree - he’s not rosterable in a “standard” league where you’re only rostering 20, 25 offensive players. Just keep him on a watch list in that sort of environment.

I got him for 16/1000 FAAB. Our offseason roster expands from 30 to 35. He is a cut candidate depending on how he performs in training camp. Definitely worth the look.

I saw Godwin get drafted in one of my leagues for the first time. It was a late pick (6th round) but between that and some waiver claims - people are becoming aware of him.

Terry Godwin shares something in common with Kyler Murray - choosing NFL over MLB despite being drafted in MLB Draft.

Twitter buzz is nuts for Curtis Samuel for some reason. Has been all off-season. Throw in DJ Moore's value certainly not falling, and CMC seemingly a lock for his slated heap of targets, and I dunno how T. Godwin can do anything in Carolina, unless we're all very wrong about one or more other people.

CMizelles 5 year snapshot definitely shows that Samuels ADP now is higher than it was when he was a rookie 2 years ago. However I think Godwin, like a Scott Miller or Jake Kumerov, can only do enough right now that they are next man up if an opportunity arises. We don't need to be wrong about players above dark horses - just aware that sometimes situations arise unexpectedly.

Although it can happen - sort of like Devante Parker allowed the door to open/ re-open for guys like Albert Wilson & Kenny Stills.

^^^ Exactly

There is no way on earth I expect Godwin to be a fantasy asset this year. He was a 7th round pick.

I’m just simply wanting to keep my eye on him, & pick up cheap/free shares in REALLY deep leagues.
