ohh he is a Redshirt Sophomore meaning he is eligible if I remember correctly
OSU fan here. Redshirt soph. He's eligible. Im interested to see how this turns out. He's little taller and slender than I might like as a RB but he's FAST. If he can put on weight and maintain his speed I'll be very excited. He's also catching it well when he gets the chance so a transition to WR may not be out of the question (similar to Tyreek, though different body types obviously)
Strange that ESPN doesn't list that he's a RS, and none of the publications like Walter Football have him as part of the class. Maybe the think he stays? The team page for the University does indeed list him as a RS. I can't see him being a first rounder, though. I am interested to see how Ke'shawn Vaughn tests at the combine, he looks like he has some juice at his size. Not a first rounder, but a guy to keep an eye on.
I haven't heard either way on that. I do know he redshirted 2017 season.

Yeah I am interested in Vaughn also. Lot of season left but I'm encouraged by this class. I've got a bunch of picks and I need big RB help so I'll be taking a shot in several of these guys plus a couple WR I'm sure (unless I can trade picks for established WR when rookie fever sets in, I hope)

I just watched a few minutes. He looks fast, but not a lot of wiggle. Definitely don't see first round talent there.

I agree, it was another person that thought first round. He's definitely an athlete, but more of a one cut go type. But fast. 10.33 (or maybe 10.55 I don't remember) 100 yard dash, big track athlete also.

yea that was me, I was just naming some names of if their was a third rb taken in the first who I thought it could be. The only sure first round talent rbs are Swift and Taylor . But its still early, another rb might rise to the top as well that we are not even talking about yet.

He certainly does, however he looks not particularly fluid/good in the passing game and so that will disqualify him as a 1st rounder to some teams. But Sony Michel went in the 1st so what do I know? Clemson is using him a bit more this year but it's still pretty basic screens it seems.

Jonathan Taylor took that same deficiency, put in the work, and is being used extensively in the receiving game this year, lining up out wide, running routes... He's surpassed Swift as my 1.01. Swift is already ahead of both of them on the receiving front, and he might move a little better than Taylor, but Taylor outshines him athletically.

I'd say Taylor has a 50%+ chance of going in the first, Swift about 50%, and Etienne just under 50%, if I had to guess. Either way, those 3 are a tier of their own.

Akers, Dobbins, Eno, and potentially Zack Moss or Najee Harris are the next tier -- Day 2 is highly probable.

He's a better prospect than Calvin Ridley, for sure. Coop was an awesome college prospect. It's pretty close, IMO, but I think Cooper has the slight edge. Jeudy is a much better prospect than Cooper at this point imo. Jeudy's problem is he has much more talent around him at WR than Cooper did so he doesn't stand out as much. I'd easily take Ruggs, Smith, & Waddle over Kenny Bell, Kevin Norwood, Deandrew White all day.

Really like what I've seen of Ruggs. Interested to watch him develop. May be a good value this year if Jeudy takes all the hype when the draft rolls around

If he’s a RS sophomore then yes he is eligible.

Circling back to who could be a 1st rounder, do we not think Travis Etienne has a shot?
I used to like him but then I watched these two videos comparing him to swift
https://youtu.be/KgpzU0yxzpw https://youtu.be/GwsnrJTJPYg

What stood out in those two videos were his inability to make the first person miss, his inability to pass block, he is horrible at catching passes, just to name a few. He could be a first rounder but it would not surprise me if he slipped to the second or third round

And RB from Wisconsin (Taylor/MG3), but Taylor is better than MG3 and many think is better than Swift.

There's two rounds full of Barkley talent prospects. While I still have all of my 2020s, I'm glad I held onto 2019 to pick up some of the rooks this year at pennies on the dollar compared to the premium I'm seeing on 2020 picks.

More than that. I'd argue that Jonathan Taylor is solidifying himself as the clear #2.

Overall, the depth of this class continues to be really encouraging.
