Yeah, he's being considered far too low in rookie drafts and these other rookie running backs are being treated like sure things..
(none of them are)

I sure hope so, got him at 2.04 and hoping he can at least be a stop gap for me this year until I can load up in 2020
If he is it would be an outlier. That size with that athletic profile is not one to bet on. I've seen all his great moves against really bad competition, but in the NFL I think he will have a tough time translating. I don't see a 3 down bell cow back at his size, and considering he dropped 4 of his 10 targets last year, he better learn how to become a receiver in the NFL if he's going to be FF relevant.TimeWillTell wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2019 3:35 pmI sure hope so, got him at 2.04 and hoping he can at least be a stop gap for me this year until I can load up in 2020
Yep. My leagues are all SF and he's been falling to the 3rd about half the time. Ridiculous value discrepancies while Henderson (who I think will be a good NFL player) goes in the early 1st.
I don't necessarily disagree. I took him because I need SOMEONE and he was best available at that point. Hindsight 20/20 maybe should've looked harder at Thompson that early, idk. But I have him and Penny behind Barkley and I'm rebuilding so if he does enough for me to flip him for a late 2020 1st (RB value pretty inflated in my league) then it's a win. If I can get a mid 2020 1st I'd probably sell Penny too even though I already have a bunch of 2020 picks. Time will tell. But Singletary at least showed some positive and is in a pretty good situation.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2019 4:08 pmIf he is it would be an outlier. So one quick vid and we haven't even seen Sanders yet and you already abandon ship?
He abandoned ship awhile ago. Ive got him, among others, on my growing list of ignore. So if you hadn't quote that post I never would have seen it lol.
He passed on an offer of Sanders and Cohen for Montgomery, and then ended up trading Monty and 3.02 for Sanders and 2.06. Apparently one preseason game is all it takes to change his mind. Maybe because he thinks the magic horseshoes are at work again?
Edgerrin James, Arian Foster, Kareem Hunt, Matt Forte, Curtis Martin, Joe Addai, Maurice Jones-Drew, CJ Anderson.petebusey wrote: ↑Tue Aug 13, 2019 3:51 am I can see Montgomery's vision and nifty moves; they make me interested in trying to buy.
But when is the last time someone with his athletic profile (which is low by probably almost any usable standard) has had 3+ top 15 RB seasons?....or some sort of higher end fantasy success?
Just did a quick search, the guys bolded above don't look like they fit in with Montgomery. Their overall scores, or at least the ones I could find looked to be in a different league than Montgomery.Pac_Eddy wrote: ↑Tue Aug 13, 2019 4:34 amEdgerrin James, Arian Foster, Kareem Hunt, Matt Forte, Curtis Martin, Joe Addai, Maurice Jones-Drew, CJ Anderson.petebusey wrote: ↑Tue Aug 13, 2019 3:51 am I can see Montgomery's vision and nifty moves; they make me interested in trying to buy.

I'm guessing, I don't know their actual athletic profiles, just guys that didn't have elite speed and are similar in build & style to Montgomery. Disregard if I'm way off.
