I originally posted this in the IDP forum but haven't seen any replies. So I'm trying here in general discussion, apologies if this irritates you....
Foster avoiding suspension... How does everyone value him at this point. He is on my waiver wire. I play in a small idp league, start 3 (any position). The soonest I could add him is when we hold our rookie draft. I'm thinking he could be worth a late round pick. Thoughts?

He is a very good player. Not much of a human but when on the field he is solid. He will be the starter for sure if he stays out of trouble.

LB is mostly a situational position and I do not see Foster having the type of value to make him worth going out of your way to acquire.

Roger that. I keep 5-6 defensive guys rostered and they are most always LB's. I aim for guys who stay on the field and rack up tackles (1 pt per solo tackle and .5 for assisted). I'm happy to have my three LB's average 7+ solo tackles a game. I haven't had any good luck with consistency in DE.

He's an amazing player. As a 49er fan, I am disappointed in his inability to be a decent human being. I don't trust him at all to stay out of trouble.

Mike, how do you think the Kwon Alexander signing affects Fred Warner's idp value? He flashed at times last year. Do you think Kwon helps or hurts is fantasy output? As a fan I imagine you're glad he was signed.

I picked him up and stashed him on my IR a few months ago. This is terrific news. Foster has the potential to be a top 10 scorer at his position and really rack up tackles. Not to mention Washington looks to be terrible on offense so the defense will be on the field a lot. At the very least hes worth a roster spot depending on your league setup at best hes a potential star. Of course this is all dependent on his staying out of trouble

Yeah it's going to devalue Fred a little bit. It's not going to be a big decrease, but 1-2 points less per game is likely.
I love me some Fred Warner. This defense is almost complete. One more corner in the draft and it'll be set.
