They actually did seem to go run out the clock mode. It just didn't work and they couldn't turn it back on when they needed to.
Re: Tyreek Hill
Maybe this is his ceiling from an efficiency standpoint but there is plenty of opportunity for his targets/touches to growIR1 wrote:Love watching him, but I think we're seeing his ceiling

Re: Tyreek Hill
So how many people winning Super Bowls had this guy starting ? I won my sb with him on my bench, almost started him over Hopkins but just couldn't after seeing those targets from savage last week to Hopkins and hoping that would have continued to this week. Oh well. Still won. Thanks kelce.

Tyreek Hill was kicked out of college for beating his pregnant girlfriend! He's talented as all get out, but he had that and wasn't in the draft, he small, but he's definitely legit!

Re: Tyreek Hill
I know his history and background, but for me this is about winning fantasy football games, not deciding if I want the guy dating my daughter. I said it a few weeks ago and I feel the same way today, I'm not selling him unless I'm getting a 1st in return. It doesn't have to be a top 4-5 pick, but it just wouldn't be worth it to me to sell him for a 2nd.

Tyreek Hill
I feel like this guy really needs his own discussion going after the Maclin release. Some people are saying he's only a gadget player, and we're looking at the next CPatt or Tavon Austin. Some say he's in a position to be a WR1 as the main target in that offense. I wanted to get some opinions on him here as well as discuss my own.
What are you valuing him at now?
What would you buy/sell him for in rookie picks and/or players?
Is he overrated or underrated?
Just my own opinion here - he's not just a gadget player.
I'm seeing comparisons to CPatt, but a lot of people seem to forget that CPatt ultimately failed because he simply couldn't grasp an offense outside of the simplest routes. He had great physical tools but can't progress as a fully fleshed out WR. Tyreek is still a somewhat raw route runner, but there doesn't seem to be anything to indicate he's not progressing. Outside of height, Tyreek also has better measurables in every category compared to CPatt.
I'm seeing comparisons to Tavon, but Tavon has simply never been a good WR. Tyreek didn't eclipse 50% of his team's offensive snaps in one game until week 9, yet he somehow gained more yardage as a WR in his rookie season than Tavon ever has as a pro. I think it's also important to point out Matt Harmon's breakdown of Tyreek's success vs. man coverage:
https://twitter.com/mattharmon_byb/stat ... 4552271872
And his contested catch rate (granted a very small sample size):
https://twitter.com/MattHarmon_BYB/stat ... 3309240321
Do I think Tyreek will be a WR1 in PPR leagues? Probably not. His ceiling is more likely as a high WR2. The only leagues he should be a WR1 in is KR/PR leagues.

Re: Tyreek Hill
I don't think he is just a gadget player and showed consistent improvement in year 1. Could be much more if he didn't play with Alex Smith. My only concern (this is also why I don't own him) is his troubled past. Last year I adopted a philosophy when evaluating fantasy football players "you can't fix stupid". Obviously, this can be applied outside of fantasy football, but I'm just waiting for him to make a mistake again and I think he will.
