Wow that's a great deal for the Guice/Hill side

Id rather have the Ingram side and not for moral reasons. Ingram > Guice for at least the next 2 years IMO & 2 1sts and Edwards >>>>> Hill

Seconded. The upside for the Guice/Hill side is immense in that trade. Even if Hill is banished that isn’t that much of an overlay for Guice (assuming mid/late 1sts), and if Hill returns after a half season suspension and signs a new contract anywhere it will be a massive underpay.

I expect some pretty large variances in trade valuations over the first part of this football year...

NFL Network reported that Hill is meeting today with league officials. Will it amount to something?

Nah, that would be an injustice, and it would make the product worse on the field. Plus it would be even worse for his son. What's best for everyone, especially for Hills son, is for Hill to still be allowed to play.

Please explain how banning Hill from running around on a football field is an injustice lol. And don't spew that junk about more money = better life for his child. That notion assumes a whole lot of things that you cannot possibly presume will happen. Nevermind. don't care to jump down that rabbit whole again. I will wait for news from Roger the rabbit himself

Its pretty simple and obvious. If Hill has an NFL salary, he can afford to live in a better area and send his son to a better school. You think his son is going to be attending a public school in a sketchy neighborhood if Hill is a millionaire? People act like I say the kids life will be perfect if Hill still plays. I'm just saying it will be better. He will get a better education and have more doors open to him. Plus Hill can afford counseling to better himself and his fiance on NFL money.

It would be an injustice because Hill didn't do enough to be banned from playing. So Hill not doing enough to be banned, plus losing literally the most dynamic play maker in the NFL (maybe an all timer once his career is over) decreases the quality of play on the field. If you would please step back and grab a mitt, you would probably be catching all these logic bombs I have been tossing about.

Can these things happen? yes. Does it mean they will? you have no idea what hill will do with his money. I cant think of anything more logical then to say you cant predict what Hill will do with his money. If you need help catching that logic bomb i don't know what to tell ya.

As far as Hill not doing enough to deserve a ban that is 100% subjective but regardless i don't really think justice for Hill plays a role in the decision at all.

I have a feeling that those expecting certainty after Wednesday's NFL interviews with Tyreek are likely to be disappointed. It'll take longer. Almost always does. And if they do rule that quickly, it means they have confidence in their decision. Since the child protective investigation is still ongoing, I've no idea how they could have such confidence. Such confidence will likely equate to a severe sentence for mr Hill.

I've been saying Hill is out the full year one way or another (combo of suspension + commissioner's exempt list) and I still believe that. This guy doesn't play again this year, independent of the DA twice inactivating / pausing their case against him, inspite of their belief a crime was committed against the kid. Just do not see how both the Chiefs and NFL give him another pass. Anything less than a full season is unequivocably a pass. Having said all that, nobody really knows yet. So all of us could be wrong.

I think it's a great example for our own children that one can get a second chance for a mistake. I also think it's a great lesson to show them how upset people are with Hill just for something he said. Then point out how much money he will lose, and that his leash is even shorter than before. One more major mistake and he probably is out of league. I think it's important to show that one poor decision or action shouldn't doom someone for life, and that education and rehabilitation are better courses of action that immediate dismissal.

I guess we can say anything is subjective if we are going to take this to that level. I guess someone could just say that a player using a swear word should land them on the banned list. Then when someone questions it they just say Hey, it's subjective. The fact is that Hill hasn't done enough. That's literal fact, because unless he is actually banned for life without the possibility of reinstatement, he will be shown to be undeserving of a lifetime ban.

Good post and I agree. Hill was already given a second chance, just being in the NFL after what he did in college. I think some people are forgetting that. It’s a privilege to play pro sports and make that kind of money.
