RB Mark Walton - Cut Again

Was wondering what people think about Mark Walton. I know pre nfl draft he was projected to be late first to mid second pick in rookie drafts. I know Mixon is only expected to miss a few weeks, but knee issues can be tricky. If Mixon misses more time than expected could Walton had some value? If we find out Mixon is to miss more than 4 weeks how much faab if any would you spend on Walton?

I think Walton could flash as a decent young back and then could retain some dynasty value moving forward. He was taken earlier in the NFL draft than Ballage but because of perceived opportunity he was an afterthought in dynasty drafts.

Gio is a formatable obsticle for touches and involvement in the short term. Walton could have some value if he flashes and Gio leaves through FA next year though.

I picked him up as a stash until Mixon is out, looks like they waived Carson (injured in Monday's practice). Speculative add... my RBs have been terrible this year. Let's see what he does!

He looked bad in the pre-season if I recall.

He had more arrests this year than his YPC last year, not surprising.

While I hope he gets his life together, I feel the odds are against him making another NFL roster - especially considering the Bengals are one of the more lenient organizations (at least imo) in regards to off-field concerns.

Lol ... I remember people saying he was going to supplant Mixon by the middle of last season.

You surely are confusing Gio with Mixon. There was talk that Walton would secure the backup/pass catcher role, but not to supplant Mixon.

YPC vs Arrests is a very misleading stat. YAT (yards after tasered) would be a much more credible argument.
