I don't know why people would be talking long term. A known two TE team with major issues at WR. Very worthy stab for short term production.

With Goedert on IR, hard to put Richard Rodgers firmly ahead. I read this news, and kind of thought, "WTF?!"
The guy is tall at 6'5", but somewhat lean at what, 220-225lbs? Not very thick for a TE. Sort of what Ice is alluding to. I had him on a team but once AZ cut him and didn't even bring him back to the practice squad that was all the incentive I needed to dump him and move on. The Eagles are just desperate, and I'm very skeptical this amounts to anything.

Yep. Darren Waller was an anomaly. People need to realize that. Logan Thomas is a poor man's version of that, at best (and I was promoting him and picked him up).
