O.K. So who IS your 1.01?

Postby Hottoddies » Sun Mar 24, 2019 9:22 pm

Most people would agree that there is no clear cut #1 this year. It's easy to poke holes in any of these prospects as the 15 pages on Metcalf would attest to. But the question is; who WOULD you take in that spot if you had to?

O.K. So here's the situation: You're in a 1 QB PPR league that drafts before the NFL draft. Despite all your attempts to trade out of that spot, you are stuck with the 1.01 and you're on the clock. Who do you take?

Waiting for landing spots in my 16 team 1 QB PPR.

Sorry, didnt read your instructions and just asssumed who I was picking or would pick, though I hold 1.01 in both my leagues.

I voted for Harry, but I have this weird feeling that AJ Brown is gonna land in the best spot. Surprised Campbell isn’t even an option. If he lands in KC, all bets are off.
Both are 12-team 1QB PPR dynasties

🦬PRIME🦬
QB: Hurts, Howell
RB: Mixon, Jones, Sanders, Dobbins, Akers, Roschon, Dowdle, Kelley
WR: Nuk, Godwin, Cooper, Lockett, Flowers, Chark, Collins, Hollins, Tillman, Tolbert
TE: Hockenson, Chig, Trautman
Taxi: Willis, Z. White, M. Mims, T. Palmer

Hull Awaits
$450 cap, 60 contract years

QB: Lawrence $5/3, Richardson $5/5, Minshew $1/0, Jones $1/0, Heinicke $1/0, Tyrod $1/0
RB: Achane $4/4, Warren $2/4, Roschon $7/5, Dillon $4/1, Hubbard $2/1, Kelley $1/0
WR: Nuk $78/1, MT $25/1, M. Williams $1/0, JSN $21/5, Reed $4/5, Rice $4/5, M. Wilson $2/5

I thought about putting Campbell in there but, damn, I had to cut it off somewhere.

Harry is my pick as well. I've been waiting 3 years to draft him.

Yeah, it’s not so much that he really belongs in the 1.01 discussion right now, but I think he’s closer to 1.01 than being outside the top 10. As a proud 1.11 owner, I hope my league agrees with you.

If a RB is drafted on day 1 or 2 by the Chiefs, that's your 1.01 right there.

My top tier is Harry, Brown, Metcalf. I feel like Harry is the best combo of ceiling and floor so he's my 1.01.
Dynasty player since 2002.
I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

1.1 Overall is D.K. Metcalf for me. (Uber Stud Upside)

Top 2 WR's. (These two have the most upside to me.) ( There are 5-6 very good WR's in this class )
D.K. Metcalf
M. Brown

Top 2 RB's (Both are legit 3 down backs and both could start week 1)
Jacobs (Week 1 starter)
Sanders

Harry is intriguing in a Dez Bryant kind of way.
I am very glad to have 1.1 and 1.2 in one of my leagues.

I am a little surprised so many don't want 1.1 or more importantly somehow think this is a weak class just because it is devoid of a clear cut Barkley or Zeke type.

This class is full of a lot of very good players throughout the 1st round. In fact top to bottom of fantasy round 1 this is the strongest WR class in years; So close in fact location will push players up and down this draft.

David Montgomery is a stud running back, everyone just doesn't realize it yet.

Harry is my #1 today. 2-6 is very fluid.

I'd take Harry drawing blind. Of course landing spots could sway my mind on who I'd take. Jacobs in KC, for instance.

This is my dream scenario. If they don't, guess I go Harry or Brown depending on landing spot, with Harry having a slight edge for me.

Edit: AJ Brown to prevent confusion.

I am warming to Harry a bit but think he really needs a strong QB that throws into extremely tight windows. I have serious concerns with him beating press coverage consistently. His tenacity reminds me a lot of Dez Bryant. He is a fighter which I like. His game speed looks a bit slow to me but I do think if he can learn a few more moves off the line he could end up being a really effective WR.

I get the logic, but that sounds extremely risky.

Marquise Brown remains the best WR I've seen, though the LisFranc throws a wrench into the equation. It really depends on how NFL evaluators view that injury. If not him, probably AJ Brown.
