I am a Godwin owner and I ALWAYS find myself believing the hype when I am an owner, only to be disappointed later.
“This is Devonte Parker’s year!”
“Prosise is healthy and gonna roll this year!”
“Jerrick McKinnon is gonna break out!”

I’m fairly certain this is the off-season I trade Godwin...and then I regret it later.
Please trade him for our sake

I like Godwin a lot but if everyone is this high on Godwin then why does everyone hate Jameis? If Evans, Godwin and Howard are going to be as great as everyone thinks they are then that must mean Jameis is headed towards a top 10 season. Come at me. I am here to support my prince.
Jameis was averaging 270 yards/game last season, and that number is in steady increase since his rookie year. That's a lot of volume to share between 2 WR's and a TE. (And he played half games too)

He's not a good fantasy option himself because his INT:TD ratio is attrocious.
1. 14-teamer, .5 PPR, 2 Flex, 16 keepers
QB :Palmer, Bridgewater, RG3
RB : Gurley, Hyde, Yeldon, McKinnon
WR: Dez, Jeffery, Evans, Watkins, Marshall, Diggs, Sharpe
TE : Eifert, ASJ,
IDP : Mosley, Olegtree, Collins &Stuff

2. 12-teamer, standard, 6 PTD, full dynasty
QB: Rodgers, Bortles, Petty
RB : McCoy, Forsett, Spiller, Lewis, KRob, Ridley, Haynes
WR : Julio, AJ Green, Tate, Latimer, Lee
TE : Gronk , Hill, Chandler

Godwin can actually run routes and get open. Parker couldn't. Don't trade Godwin. He's a buy, not a sell.

There isn't many teams that can support 2 fantasy relevant wrs. Rams might be the most obvious exception. The average for the wr2 in the league is a wr4 in fantasy. That's worth owning on a deep roster and he is young with upside but I'm not losing my panties to try and obtain him

If someone in your league is hot to trot for him and is offering a low 1st or something bonkers DO IT
QB - DWatson(HOU)RWilson(SEA)Winston(TB)
RB - TGurley(LAR)DJohnson(ARI)NChubb(CLE)DHenry(TEN)
WR - ODB(NYG)AJ Green(CIN)ACooper (DAL)CDavis(TEN)
TE - GOlsen(CAR)HHenry(SD)
K - Zurlien(LAR)GEORGIO TEVECHIO!!!
Def - JAGS 49ers
[rookie] ACalloway(CLE)NHarry(NE)MBrown(BAL)
2 2020 1st 1 2020 2nd
Rosters must always be 3qbs 4wrs 4rbs 2tes 2kickers 2dst and protected players dont take up a roster spot, but are only for rookie/2nd year players that were drafted

TB has no run game and their defense is awful. They will be one of the most pass heavy teams in football. They will be able to support two good receivers and a good TE. I don't think people realize how good Godwin is yet, but they'll see in a few months.

Perhaps. But just history shows us there havent been that many wr2 that are overly productive fantasy wide recievers. But it certainly HAS been done before. TB has a better chance than most to be that anomaly this year.

Don't think it's fair to compare TB's 2019 situation to every other team, every other season. Here are some conditions that point heavily toward supporting a wr2:
  • Awful defense
  • Offensive philosophy to pass the ball a lot
  • Top-heavy WR / TE depth chart to funnel targets to a few players
  • A talented wr2
TB / Godwin check all of those boxes EASILY and OBVIOUSLY. The only major concern to me is QB play - if Jameis faceplants, who's throwing passes in Tampa?

Godwin is a 23 year-old WR who scores very well in advanced metrics (both coming out of college & in his first two seasons in the NFL) and finds himself in the above situation. I don't expect him to overtake Mike Evans, but I don't think it's crazy to envision a solid WR #2 season as his most likely outcome in 2019.
10-team/.5 PPR/5 Pts per Passing TD. Start 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 2FLEX (rb/wr/te)
QB: B. Mayfield, K. Cousins, A. Dalton
RB: D Johnson, M. Mack, P. Lindsay, G. Bernard, D. Thompson, T. Pollard, C. Edmonds, D. Ogunbowale, T. Montgomery
WR: J. Jones, O. Beckham Jr., K. Allen, C. Godwin, P. Williams, A. Wilson, Di. Johnson, R. Higgins
TE: T. Kelce, D. Waller, T. Burton, I. Smith Jr.

2020 Picks: 1, (3x) 2, 3
2021 Picks: (2x) 1, 3, 4

The basic summary is that Godwins value in the dynasty community is already top 20 - he gives plenty of solid evidence on why this is so.

Not too many; just the Rams, Steelers, Vikings, Falcons, and yes, the Buccaneers did it last year.

Bengals, Lions have a good history, usually GB. Houston with a healthy Fuller. Denver

Probably safe to add the Browns now. Idk about Denver moving forward. So that's a pretty good handful that currently support multiple WR. The other teams either have a very productive RB/TE (Philly, KC, etc) as well or just can't support anyone (BAL, TEN)
2QB, 2RB, 3WR, TE, FLEX - PPR - 14 Keepers
QB: Mahomes, Baker, D. Jones, Minshew, Luck (IR)
RB: Sony, D. Freeman, Penny, J. Jackson, Ito, Mostert
WR: Tyreek, Julio, Cooks, D.J. Moore, Hollywood, C. Davis, Parris, Washington, MVS, Preston, KeeSean
TE: Andrews, Henry
2020: 1, 2, 3...

2QB, 2RB, 2WR, TE, 3FLEX - PPR - 20 Keepers
QB: Baker, Cam, Rivers, Minshew, Foles (IR)
RB: CMC, Kerryon, Ingram, Penny, Hunt, J. Jackson J. Samuels, Gus, Ballage
WR: D.J. Moore, Mike Will, C. Davis, Parris, Fuller, MVS, Preston, Pettis
TE: Andrews, Hock, Henry, Herndon

2021: 1, 1, 2, 3

Correct

I guess roughly half the league is considered "there isnt many" (which I cant decide which I struggle with more: the grammar of that statement or what was actually said)
