Although it's a stab in the dark what is his value at now if trading or receiving him?

If I need a TE, I would give somewhere between a very very very late 2nd to mid-3rd range. That would be for a 12, 14, 16-team league. He'd be worth a shot there if I needed help at the position.

If it was gonna happen with Cook it would have already, and Aaron Rodgers has only fed one top-10 fantasy TE in eight years.

If he's a free-agent in one's league for the rookie-draft, I'd rate him worth a 4th or 5th round pick in 12-team leagues. And 4th round is probably reaching.

If one already has him rostered, I'd try to sell him right now to some sucker that still believes the false-narrative that Green Bay is a lucrative place for fantasy TEs.

Resident Packers honk here, and this sums up exactly my thoughts when I heard the news. i.e. "Darn...wish I had some Jared Cook shares to sell."

This thread would be more appropriately titled, "Jared Cook - Last Opportunity...to Sell"

Yea, I own him in a few leagues and had him on my roster bubble in all of them. Now, I'll probably hold onto him and see how he does unless someone blows me away with an offer. Probably the best landing spot for sure

Incumbent TE Richard Rodgers isn't going anywhere. He is unbelievable hands and Aaron Rodgers' trust, particularly around the goal line.

The need for another TE came from the fact that R. Rodgers is a slow runner who doesn't get any YACs. They need a faster TE to run down the seam and make bigger plays underneath. Think of Cook as the between the 20s TE (maybe good for a couple of catches per game at 11-13 YPC) and Rodgers as the red zone TE. I doubt that even an R. Rodgers injury would get him many red zone looks. Remember, Cobb excels there, and Jordy is returning, too.

Still think that Cook has any meaningful fantasy value? His value is entirely NFL Packers value, so sell him here ASAP and for anything that you can get.

So if you want to take a chance on a back-up TE, is the 2.11 to 3.01 range close in this class or should I keep the pick?

I picked him up when the rumors were he was a potential free agent for the packers. Just traded him for Kam Chancellor. I know most don't play IDP but it's a super deep league, even IDP safeties are tough to find. I'm happy with it seeing as he was free

I think it's the best situation he could have ended up in after GB. There's a reason Carr was pushing hard to sign him. I think Cook is in the midst of a late career breakout and a solid buy in the muddy TE landscape.

Rock hands. No thanks. And... I own him in a couple leagues. I'm over J.Cook.

If you own him already, sell him.
Otherwise just stay way.
He's proven time and time again to be in a great spot to produce and just hasn't been fantasy releveant

This is a better real life move than fantasy move - much like the CPatt signing

Won't be worth starting but is an improvement over Walford and gives Carr another red zone target (albeit a so-so one) in addition to Crabtree.

Still wish we landed Bennett.
