If Hunt is real, then 4 weeks would be all he'll need to secure lead back duties.
Unless you also believe that ware is "real." Then we'd likely see a heavy split, which is exactly what the Chiefs were doing in their dress rehearsal.
I agree, but I don't think Ware is anything more than a solid pro. He's not special. He's not someone to build an offense around. Hunt might be that guy

I think it's largely a mistake to build your offense around a rb. The order of priority I would invest in, if I were a GM, is QB, OL, WR, backup QB, OL depth, RB.

I 100% agree. But the Chiefs have a very good defense, competent QB play, and the 2nd best TE in the league. It's not like they suck and they're throwing all their weight behind a RB, they already have a very good roster

Also, Andy Reid has typically had some very good RBs that he's given a lot of work, Staley, McCoy, Charles, etc. I agree with you about Ware, solid pro but I think Hunt could be at least a little more than solid, average which is what Ware is to me.

True. Much like the Cowboys' luxury of Elliott. They had an elite OL with depth, a very good QB (who immediately got 🤕), A solid TE with a developmental behind him, and a solid defense with a lot of young potential. In that situation, I ageee with investing more in a RB (but I would have taken Ramsey if I were the Cowboys and Henry or something in round 2).

Well, it looks like Ware is out for the season so Hunt's stock is really going to go through the roof. This should boost West's stock mainly in PPR leagues as well.

And Spencer is out for the year. ROY dropped to 12-1 already before news.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel the ghost of Davontae Booker from last year, breathing icy caution down our necks.

It's one thing to shine in very limited action for short periods of time; it's quite another for a rookie from a small program to come in and be a bellcow his entire first year in the League

Agreed. Like Hunt, but after what I've seen I don't see anything special

Plus the Chiefs could decide to pull a Packers and turn their WR into an RB ala Ty Montgomery - paging Tyreek Hill your presence is requested in the RB meeting - please hand over your WR book to Demarcus Robinson and / or Albert Wlson. ;)

Trade went down in my league on Tuesday... Ware and 2nd for Alshon (Alshon on a bad contract). Painful...

I'm no expert, but I feel like Hunt is a better talent than Booker. I was never big on Booker though. That's an interesting comparison to look at though. KCs line is better correct?

Hunt is certainly DIFFERENT... he runs a bit more like a poor man's Matt Forte whereas Booker is closer to your average slightly-better-than-a-plodder type of RB. It's more the whole concept of the thing that worries me. It's why I get concerned with how certain everyone is that Derrick Henry would be a top 5 RB if anything happens to Murray... again, totally not making a point about a specific player's talent or style of play, but until we see someone be a real difference maker for multiple games, color me a skeptic. Heck, we even saw this with Spencer Ware! There was a time when people looked at his PPR box score and thought he was the next big thing.

I don't know that Hunt has looked great but I don't think he's looked bad either, who has played better as far as rookie RBs out of the big 4? McCaffrey and Cook, I guess, it's close between Hunt and Mixon but Fournette has been out and he looks to be in the worse spot among all of the top rookies. Reid has had several top RBs over the years that he's given a lot of work to so I think Hunt has a good chance to be the top rookie RB after Ware's injury, but I'm not saying long-term he will be the best, nothing like that, but I'm just talking this season in PPR leagues, how would everyone rank these 5 rookie RBs?

1) CMC- close between he and Hunt but in PPR, he probably would get the edge.
2) Hunt- He's going to get a ton of work and other than Char West, unless they bring someone in, there's not much in KC to challenge him.
3) Cook- He's looked good in pre-season and Lat Murray is out but once he comes back, that will probably take some of his work away, possibly goal line work. Also, still not sold on the Vikes o-line.
4) Mixon- Talent-wise, I like him as much as anyone but with Hill & Bernard still there, it might take him until mid season or later to get the work to put up big numbers.
5) Fournette- Of course long-term he could be the top out of these 5 rookies but for this season, it's not looking too good in Jacksonville with the bad QB situation and not so great o-line.

Again, I'm talking about this season even though this is dynasty, just interested in everyone's rankings.

Hill just went down with an ankle injury, so could be a bump for Mixon. For Hunt, I'd be more worried about Spiller than West. Spiller has shown way more ability than Charkey and looks like he might be healthy for the first time in a long time. He could be a dark horse.
