I started Shady over him in my biggest Dynasty league, but in my redraft weekly high score gets $300. Started Hunt, Hill, and Brady, so hopefully touchdown Tommy does not screw me.

If only Zeke would have been suspended this week... I would have been "forced" to start Hunt.

I'm in the same boat and I'm in way too many leagues to even say and not playing against him in any. I'm not going to lie, I'm mad now at myself for not starting him in all 4 that I own him in but just in case, I kinda hedged my bet in that one league. As far as how Hunt looked, everyone can talk about how bad the Pats D looked but Hunt looked great, regardless, I couldn't be more happy with him than I am. The best thing is, Reid loves to feed his main ballcarrier, so although we know it won't be this easy every week, he's going to get the ball a ton this season.

He truly did look very good tonight. It should be noted that NE had ZERO linebackers for this game. Kyle Van Noy and the corpse of David Harris were in there, and Hightower was playing as an edge rusher (before getting hurt). NE is missing a ton on their line right now.

But Hunt ran hard with great vision, great strength, great hands. Very nice job and I'm impressed by how he dusted himself off after that first carry.

Only thing lacking was his breakaway speed. He could've had a 4th TD but was pushed out of bounds.

Huh, wasn't nearly as high on him as a lot of people but damn he looked good. I know NE was playing basically half backups but still he showed everything you want in a true workhorse back, power on the multiple nasty stiff arms and consistent good runs up the middle, speed on some longer breakaway runs and especially that long reception, and looked like a receiver half the time running his routes. Not saying he's the next big thing yet but also not saying I'd be surprised if he was after that game

Yep, I couldn't tell if he was winded or if that was his top speed. Hopefully it's the former, but you don't always need top speed to be a top tier player if you have elusiveness and footwork.

The most comforting part was he hit pretty much every hole he should have, and if KC can runblock even half of like how they did for the next 15 games then Hunt should have a season that puts him into OROTY talks.

I think that was his top speed. One of the reason ppl weren't that high on him - poor measureables, namely his 40yard time. He looked like he should've got snagged on his TD reception, but the guy tackling panicked and dived too early

I'll take the vision, burst, and shiftiness he displayed over pure breakaway speed. Remember how fast Knile Davis is on paper then watch him play and think about how top end speed isn't everything. Once again...just through my amateur eyes.

Luckily I plugged in Hunt at the last minute. Would of been pissed if i didnt.

Hunt doesnt have the breakaway speed. But he does have a coach that knows how to use him. They really featured hunt in a variety of ways, with Tyreek Hill and Kelce also getting used it is going to open things up for him. Look at Dalvin Cooks Measurables... but watch him on the field. Hunt looks the part, my biggest fear is injury. He got a ton of usage.

Hunt's really in a great situation, he doesn't need the breakaway speed quite as much as he's got both Hill and Conley with insane speed to spread the field and Kelce to create a mismatch nightmare. Hunt could easily feast as a receiver out of the backfield all season thanks to that combo. It will be tough to defend against two guys with sub-4.35 40s and a big TE mismatch nightmare. Much less a competent back out of the backfield.

Very impressive outing for the rookie runner. Great situation. Good talent. No need for top end speed when several other intangibles are there. Seems to me that if the kid stays healthy, he will be in store for a very productive rookie campaign.

Very impressive.

Hey, along those lines. Alex Smith looked more like Tom Brady than Tom Brady did. We do have to remind ourselves to not read too far into small sample sizes.
