Surprised Hunt took so little, seems odd. With a big year he could potentially get Derrick Henry type money.

I am too, but a guaranteed home (especially to him) and guaranteed money might be better than putting yourself out there next year with a decreased cap and plethora of FA on the market.

I forgot he's from Ohio, that probably factored in.

Really hope Hunt slips up. He and Chubb are going to be such fantasy wastes now for the best of their careers.

Think this hurts Chubb's value as Hunts situation was already factored in to his price

Cleveland being his hometown is one reason as was mentioned after you posted this, but I kinda of think another reason is Hunt showing his appreciation to the Browns for giving him a 2nd chance when it looked like his football career might be over, the 31 other NFL teams had very no interests at all.

Bummer for fantasy owners of both Chubb and Hunt. I misread this situation when they initially signed Hunt. Really didn't see a long term impact.

Makes my Hunt + for Gallup+ trade look better. Hunt isnt a backup but he isnt going to be a bellcow again. Anyone who got out on him while he was a chief for the highest price looks like a genius forever now.

As a Hunt owner I’m obviously disappointed, but I’m happy for him. He got a nice payday to play in his hometown, and he may have extended his career. Makes perfect sense for him and for the Browns. He’ll be 27 when the contract is up - maybe if CLE is still mediocre he would take a run with a contender to close out the last 2-4 years of his career.

Maybe he knows he probably won't stay out of trouble long enough so he took what he could get now.

that stinks. on one hand I agree this ups his trade value and I'm more confident playing him week 1 now that this staff has an investment but until he's dealt this really hurts his upside.

Urghhh, I was of high hopes he'd be elsewhere next season, I have them both and this makes me sad....

Heavy run teams will start running more committee based approaches. There will still be a "lead back", but the NFL overall will be going more committee based moving forward IMO. With a 17 game schedule incoming, plus playoffs for some, you just can't lean on one back with any deal of confidence all season, IMO.

Ouch. Glad I'm not a Chubb owner. Though he was a screaming sell to me after that 2019 2nd half. Great player, bad situation. Morale of the story: never trust the Browns.

Wouldn't want to be like @mild and hold a guy like Chubb too long and take a hit
