This draft is 100% situation-dependent. There's no one player who people are going to draft on talent alone at 1.01, like when Sammy went to Buffalo and still went 1.01.

If Jacobs lands in a great situation (let's say Philadelphia at 25) in the 1st round and Metcalf goes to Baltimore and AJ Brown goes to Buffalo, Jacobs will be the 1.01.

Jacobs needs to go to a great landing spot.

My guess is he is the first RB drafted. Sanders had a very good combine but will probably slip a bit due to ball security issues IMO. Jacobs has good tape and huge soft hands. His pass protection is solid and has excellent quickness, vision, power, and just great hands.

I will be surprised if he is not drafted round 1. A team will like having that 5th option.

Looks like a can't miss prospect to me. Has all the skill to be a legit 3 down back with 50+ reception upside as a rookie. Instant Impact player. He would be great with the Eagles but they never take RB's in round 1. Maybe this year. I think the Ravens make a lot of sense for him.

In one league I have the top 2 picks and he is definitely on my board. Sanders is as well if he goes to the right team but today I like Jacobs more. I will draft one of them most likely but not both.
The clock is running and there are no timeouts

He is my 1.01; not that it matters since I cannot get him anywhere.

People read too much into RB situation and until a year ago I was one of those as well.

In just the last couple years, guys like Kamara, Chubb & Mixon all overcame situations that looked rocky at best when drafted.

I am far more concerned about situations for WRs as they are directly tied to the QB throwing them the ball.

Can someone explain why the Eagles would be a desirable landing spot, fantasy-wise? All I’ve seen from Pederson throughout his tenure there is a dogged, borderline Belichickian commitment to a committee backfield.

Agreed, not a spot I want a RB I covet to land. Always going to split touches,

Well, they haven't really had a good back there to play on all 3 downs. Jacobs would represent that and a 1st round investment would likely mean some sort of significant workload. But, just an example though. Jacobs could easily get the 1.01 if people are enamored enough with the situation.

All it takes for a WR to get devalued is catching passes from Lamar Jackson, the Jacksonville QB, Washington's QB or Marcus Mariota or something.

Is anybody expecting Jacobs to come in and be a Gurley/Bell like back? Splitting touches is fine, if it's in a great offense. Alvin Kamara has no issues with that. I don't think Jacobs is a 320 touch player. He's got the build for it, and has a 3 down skill set, but not sure anyone is drafting him with that in mind.
