Michael Crabtree Released
Ravens released Michael Crabtree today, and John Brown may be leaving through FA.
This leaves the Ravens with Snead, Chris Moore, Jordan Lasley and Jaleel Scott at WR. Which is less than ideal.
What’s everyone’s thoughts on what the Ravens do to patch up the WR position, who are you looking to own that’s already there, and how does this effect Jackson moving forward?

Re: Michael Crabtree Released
I’d assume they will be hosting some FA’s. I’d also assume they will be strongly considering adding an early round rookie wr.

Good thing for Brown and Crabtree.

Re: Michael Crabtree Released
Maybe they are going to treat Lamar like a high school qb and not require him to throw...ever. Just run run run. Maybe they’ll run 2TE 2RB power options. They’ve been stocking up on tight ends like they want to.
Re: Michael Crabtree Released
Anyone else see this as a good opportunity to buy Crabtree? Feel he could be gotten for just about anything, could return decent WR3 play for a contender.

This was my first thought. Baltimore is about worst case scenario for WRs.

Re: Michael Crabtree Released
This, but from the other angle- what self respecting WR will want to go to a QB and offensive scheme like Baltimore's? If Jackson doesn't develop, the offense will be something like Georgia Tech's over the years- heavy running with WRs' primary job to be blocking, with the occasional surprise pass. A healthy Demaryius Thomas would work, since he has experience in that scheme. Maybe Donte Moncrief?Orenthal Shames wrote: ↑Mon Feb 25, 2019 6:40 pmThis was my first thought. Re: Michael Crabtree Released
Get Treadwell. He can block, and can't get open, but who cares. TE's would be the guys I'd target in that offense. If any WR gets drafted there, I am immediately dropping them down on my board.Pullo Vision wrote: ↑Mon Feb 25, 2019 6:50 pmThis, but from the other angle- what self respecting WR will want to go to a QB and offensive scheme like Baltimore's? Re: Michael Crabtree Released
Oh yeah let's go. Read option with the 4 TE set
Re: Michael Crabtree Released
Seems like a good move for the Ravens & Crabtree both - as it allows both to move in different directions. Obviously should be easier though for the Ravens to add WR than it will be for Crabtree to find a good fit though.
Please speak to clarion contrarion before considering the use of vetos..

Hoping the Ravens can keep Smokey Brown and then draft a reciever early, big type (Metcalf, Harry, Butler). But as of right now big bump for Mark Andrews and definitely a lot more 2 te sets.
