Converting to new MFL league questions

Postby mnpacker » Sun Feb 10, 2019 1:46 pm

I've had a league on MFL 9 seasons. However, due to some inactivity from several owners over the past few years, we have decided to reboot and restart the league with a brand new startup draft. I have about 2/3 of the league returning and 1/3 being new owners. I want to keep the rules in place from the old league (with a few minor tweaks). So, I'd like to roll the info from the 2018 MFL league over to the 2019 site. However, I have some questions about this.

1. Is there an easy way to eliminate 2019 rookie draft picks?

2. Is there a way to eliminate previous winners from the championship plaques so they don't show up in the new league?

3. Is there a way to play one weekly H2H game AND also allow for the top 6 scoring teams to be given a win each week and the bottom 6 scoring teams to be given a loss every week?

Here’s my guess......

1. In draft set up just set your draft order and select the style draft you want. Don’t import future draft pick trades either.

2. If you delete lleague awards that may do it.

3. Not sure directly, but setting up Victory Points for 1 point for a win and 1 point for scoring in the top 6 and then making Victory Points your #1 ranked thing for standings should work.

Post a link!

Seriously, I'm just kidding in that. I think Overachievers has basically nailed it. You could also reach out to MFL and ask them to wipe the champs from the league history, so that u can use the champ plaque module going fwd. It's a nice feature to have...

Hell u might even want to keep the history. What's wrong with it? Guys earned their championships and this sounds more like a jubilee of sorts than a new league outright.

Good point. I guess it doesn't matter if people can see the old champs.
