Show off your MFL site

Postby Overachiever77 » Sat Feb 09, 2019 6:12 am

Since it’s a slow time of year before we get to the combine and free agency, if you have any graphics done for your MFL leagues/teams post or link here to show them off!

I’ve done helmets and championship banners for our league but we’re currently doing some more advanced work. I’ll post it when it’s done.

I care far more about functionality than I do about looks. That said, I'm pretty happy with my USFL league. It's nothing fancy, but I did many of the graphics for it myself, and there is a common theme with the white backgrounds on the banners.

Agreed on the function over looks. I just think there’s some great graphical work done with MFL sites. I really like some of those team logos and the uniform layout is what I go for in my league too.

This is not my site as commish, but designed the banner and all team logos to make them consistent. Commish also is doing some stuff with coding for functionality purposes so it’s pretty cool on both ends:

I prefer leagues that don't have extended load times. On that basis, and because of the clean unified look, I like MEuRaH's here.

Both my USFL Superflex and DLF Premium League got a significant work over for 2019.

DLF PL (new league banner, new division banner, new skin and 4 new team banners which were done by Mark_in_MI): http://www57.myfantasyleague.com/2019/home/15795#0

USFL SF (new league banner, new division banners, new skin): http://www56.myfantasyleague.com/2019/home/49119#0

Here are our two sister salary cap leagues (will be updating to the 2019 leagues later on this weekend after a few deadlines in the leagues pass):

NDFL: http://www68.myfantasyleague.com/2018/home/14733

ADFL: http://www68.myfantasyleague.com/2018/home/12028#0

Artwork done in house by John Layton. Coding kept simple to provide functionality, yet not be the barebones that MFL offers.

I think our commish for the Devy league I play in does a great job with running the league and the graphics. This is a very large complicated league to play in. Check it out.

I only play in 16x53 with 10+ taxi size leagues with full IDP. All are PPR and most value return yardage. So my opinions may be skewed To these deep roster leagues.

Dynasty Fantasy is not a game, it’s a full time hobby.

I appreciate you sharing! It'd be easier to read the team names if each team selected not just a font color but a background color for their names. The colors would be alternating, like the back/gold of the Steelers or the orange/blue for the Knicks.

Most leagues in MFL could improve their graphics merely by stipulating standard pixel ratio (eg 275x90) and graphic format (logo on left and text on right).

Then select Team Logos, not Team Names and Team Logos.

Do you know the coding to be able to do that? Id like to give it a try to see how it would look.

I’m interested in how to do this too.

Here's a very basic set of codes for the cascading style sheet:
.brandlogo {visibility:none;} /* This deletes the MFL logo */

.pageheader {display:none;} /* This deletes the Site header */

.pagefooter {display: none;} /* This deletes the footer at the bottom of the page*/

img.ava{height: auto; width: 250px;} /* This adds franchise logos to the chat */
You can go to the MFL forums and find additional codes. There's also a sticky in the Commissioners Section here that speaks about some basic CSS coding that can be done.

Link: viewtopic.php?f=149&t=96503

Word of warning. First, anything beyond very basic changes, like what I've pasted above, take a lot of time and effort. Second, do not do any changes to a live-league. Always make a duplicate, try stuff out, and if it works, implement at your live-league.
