2019 Bad Trade Offers

For one of my non-playoff teams, I offered an RB-needy team Jonathan Williams for a late 1st round pick. Guy rejected, told me "I don't want any trade unless you're offering Michael Thomas". Okay, so what you thinking for MT? "Thinking maybe a 2nd round pick".

So...M. Thomas for a late 2nd round pick.

I lost Luck for Team 1 and had no idea how Lamar or Allen would turn out. Was hunting for a veteran QB to get me through this year and asked about Phillip Rivers. He wanted MT and I could “feel free to counter” when I said no.

This reminds me of the embarrasding amount if time I spent trying to pry Antonio Brown out of one of the bottom feeder teams hands this past off season. This was immediately after he joined the Raiders. The last offer i made was my 2020 first, DJ Chark and John Brown. I would have paid a little more, but the other owner had no intention of negotiating.

The other owner (a first time Dynasty player) told me " Sorry AB is my one good player...no way I can afford to trade him"

He just cut AB this week and I'm 9-2 and in first place.

Ugh. Years ago, in my first dynasty league with a buy in, I traded for Michael Turner while he was a backup. He was my golden ticket in my rebuild. When he played lights out in Atlanta, I didn't want to trade because... he was my one good player.
Each year he was elite, I was a playoff borderline team, but usually missing. Never went deep. I wish I could go back and apply the lessons I've learned since, like selling my "one good player" for a bounty.
