Is putting guys on the block a sign of desperation?

No, of course not. But that’s when predators will pounce because they see an owner in rebuild selling a top asset. Not hard to put that together.

Yeah it’s not a sign of desperation but it’s usually going to invite low-ball offers because it says “I don’t value this player enough to have him on my team”

I really just use it to generate some buzz when the league gets a little stale lol

To add some further context, my league mates know that I don’t need a significant rebuild. I have one of the best (if not the best) rosters in the league. I just have had bad luck & the highest Points Against in the league - which makes this offer all the more insulting

I have, at times, when putting guys on the block stated "Not a fire sale"

LOL it's superflex but we have a 5 QB max and my QB's at the time were Mahomes, Kyler, Baker, Brissett and Dalton so I'd have to drop one of those guys to hypothetically make room for Mitch . Also no TE Premium and I have Engram, Goedert, and Gesicki. And Irv Smith is on waivers in that league

I gave him a bit of a pass on the first one and just said that I have no interest in Brady. My "comment" on the Thomas trade was to send two counters:

Counter 1 -
Give: 2020 2nd + 2020 2nd
Receive: Tyreek Hill

Give: 2020 1st
Receive: Josh Jacobs

If he actually thinks his offer was fair then he should accept those.

E: Just sent a 3rd counter to give 1st + 2nd for Kamara....let's see if he takes it!

E: Darn, he rejected all 3. I finally rejected his initial offer and told him it was possibly the worst offer I've ever received.
