That’s what happens when you put players on the block. Desperation is a stinky cologne. Guarantee that everyone here has made a worse offer than this.
Is putting guys on the block a sign of desperation?
No, of course not. But that’s when predators will pounce because they see an owner in rebuild selling a top asset. Not hard to put that together.
Yeah it’s not a sign of desperation but it’s usually going to invite low-ball offers because it says “I don’t value this player enough to have him on my team”

I really just use it to generate some buzz when the league gets a little stale lol

To add some further context, my league mates know that I don’t need a significant rebuild. I have one of the best (if not the best) rosters in the league. I just have had bad luck & the highest Points Against in the league - which makes this offer all the more insulting

Which side you saying is bad? I would take the DJ Chark side, but I'm sure there are those still taking OBJ. Doesn't belong here.

Oh, but you're not supposed to be "insulted" by trade offers, rather grateful.

I watch the MNF games at BWW with three other guys who also play a lot of DFF. We talk about the absolute bleep offers that we get during the previous week (and there's usually a lot of them). I had to share this one because (a) it's just plain stupid and (b) he blacklisted the other guy for this.

One of them took over an orphan team last year that was bleep but had a lot of 2019 and 2020 draft capital (4 1sts in '19 and 4 in '20). He made a couple moves, picked up a couple more '20 1sts. His team is 1-7 and basically starting all rookies and a couple 2nd year guys, 4 games out of the playoffs with 5 to go, and now 6 2020 1sts (3 in the top 5 including #1) to play with. He intends to draft them all as he likes the 2020 class quite a bit. His oldest player is J. Landry.

One thing to keep in mind, my buddy NEVER asked about or expressed interest in Ingram, these are all flat cold offers.

On Saturday another owner approached him with an offer of Ingram for 2 2020 1sts (both early). He rejected, no comment.
Owner shot right back with Ingram for an early 2020 1st and Josh Jacobs. Rejected, no comment.
Dude then hit him with 2 more offers - Ingram for an early 1st and Metcalf, then Ingram for the projected 2020 1.1, McLaurin, and Deebo. Rejected both, put a comment on the 2nd one "WTF...I DO NOT WANT INGRAM".

Dude's follow up was hilarious. This is cut and paste, can't make this bleep up folks.
"Ingram has put up RB1 numbers so far, still only 28 years old, primary RB in a run first offense. He'd be a big piece for you to put on a playoff push and maybe bring you a 'ship. That kind of piece has a lot of value and I want to move some guys to get a couple draft picks or young pieces because I'm out of the running and looking to build for next year. Let's negotiate, bro." The guy's 1-7. What bleep-ing "playoff push"????
