I don't see the Chiefs paying Bell the money he wants, and he'll want a TON. Chiefs have proven they can get great production out of less costly RBs.
Probably true, but they didn’t mind paying LeSean McCoy when he was in his last year in Philly. I could see the chiefs giving him close to what he wants on a 3 year deal.

If the chiefs were smart, they would retain the current offensive nucleus and use that cap space on some difference makers on the defensive side of the ball. If they have a defense with any type of pulse, they are probably undefeated right now.

True. I don't know what the Chiefs are trying to do salary wise in the offseason, but the money is there and this upcoming draft is weak on RBs. Plus, there's only a 2-3 year window where Mahomes doesn't count a ton towards the cap.

Ware will feature, folks. There isn't anything Damien and Darrel do better than him. Damien is a plus receiver, but so is Ware. Darrel is a plus power-back, but so is Ware.

Free-agent next year, though. Whether or not KC re-signs him probably depends on how he performs now as the next man up. If Ware stars in the playoffs, good chance KC keeps him.

Regardless, KC will have some free-agent options this offseason, even putting aside the draft class. If they want to go for broke, Bell will be available, as others have pointed out. So will Yeldon, Tevin Coleman, and Corey Grant (Grant isn't 3-down material, but his game-breaking speed makes him a useful complementary piece/gadget). Jalen Richard and Peyton Barber are set to be restricted free-agents. Lotta options for KC. It's plausible they pick up more than one of these guys.

Damien Williams got a lot more buzz from beat-reporters at OTAs through TC.
have already stated he will get playing time
You need to source this.

Since Darrel doesn't play ST, it's plausible he remains inactive. Ware is a 3-down back and Damien has useful speed and hands. Darrel still seems surplus to needs, even with Hunt gone.

Well, I just traded Ware for Geronimo Allison and was promptly kicked out of the league. So probably more than that.

I don't own Bell, but I agree, Bell would be a monster in K.C.

With that said, I agree too, the Chiefs have proven they can get by with cheaper RBs, just as Pittsburgh did this year with Conner.

K.C. will need to keep enough money on the table to resign Tyreek Hill and Patrick MaHomes. In order to move to the next level, the Chiefs will need to invest in their defense.

Man, Corey Grant in KC would be a perfect fit.

Chief's GM had high praise for Damien Williams in the off-season as well.

picked him up in a few redraft leagues. ionno how to value him in a dynasty league, but I think the Chiefs will find a replacement for him soon.

Duce Staley, Westbrook, Shady, Jamaal Charles, Spencer Ware, Kareem Hunt. Yeah, Spencer Ware was the worst starting RB among those, which just goes to show you the value that Andy Reid RBs have, especially in PPR.

I'd say low end RB1 high RB2 ROS. KC has shown to want to commit to a single back. However I would not pay a first as we have not seen him featured since his, pretty bad, injury and there is no garuntee they don't bring someone in

Kicked out of a league for that? Tell me you're joking.

I did some more diving on this today, and ended up adding Darrel over Damien quite easily. Key thoughts were:

- Darrel is more of a power back, means he could have an outside shot at the GL work / spelling Ware on early downs
- Darrel has surprisingly good hands out of the backfield, I love a power back who can catch
- Damien is on a 1 year deal and probably won't be around next year
- Damien has had 4 years in the league already (on the abysmal 'Fins) to try win work and show us he's special
- Darrel was buried behind 2 legitimate studs at LSU in Fournette and Guice, so there's untapped upside potentially still there
- Darrel is 23, Damien is 26 - give me the younger guy on the rookie contract any day
- Aforementioned move by the Chiefs of keeping Darrel off of the waiver wire, and the fact he will still be around on a cheap rookie deal a few more years

The move with upside is clearly Darrel for those wanting to speculate. Of course, they could just as easily bring back Charcandrick West...
