I'm not disagreeing but I'd be careful of being afraid to sell the shiny new toy...a lot of people were clamoring about needing a 1st to sell MVS a few weeks ago and his supporters have gotten very quiet since he disappeared off the face of the planet entirely.

I havent gone anywhere. I never said offer a 1st though. Id still buy for a late 2nd.

I wasn't calling you out specifically...I just remember people advocating for him being a hold for anything less than a 1st which seemed to me at the time to be a bit of an overreaction. TBH saying "I'd still buy for a late 2nd" is more reasonable but not a strong endorsement of anybody though

Packers have all of their real life 2019 NFL Draft picks on top of an additional 1st & 4th in what I am told is a strong WR class. MVS' time as a relevant fantasy asset is conceivably very short.

Having a cheap and competent backup QB might be worth more to the 49ers than another team is willing to give up for him in trade. Think for example about all the Nick Foles trade rumors this past offseason...

3rds are barely worth anything though...not sure this is a valid comparison. Foster has scored slightly more points in the last 5 games than MVS did in the 5 game stretch that had some people suggesting he was worth a first, and I'm saying that I might not sell Foster for a 3rd if offered...but oh yeah better pump the brakes on the hype train; it's getting out of control!

Who would you guys fill your last bench/stash spot with. I think I'm leaning towards Cain but Cole is pretty talented too assuming the Jags upgrade their QB this off season.

Probably Cain over Cole. But those two would be my top choices in that list as well.

I actually had a similar dilemma prior to our waiver wire closing for the year. My first choice would have been Chris Warren but another team beat me to the punch. I gladly added Cain and am excited to see how he looks over the offseason. There's certainly targets to be had behind Hilton in that offense, and I think Dion could end up being a nice surprise in 2019 if the knee is feeling solid.

Luck sure seems to be back after a lost year in 2017. If I can add a productive piece of his passing game I'm in on that over a flyer on Keelan Cole and whomever will be throwing to him in 2019.

Funchess is interesting to me. Had a good start to the year, but the Panthers have completely given up on him, so I see him somewhere else next year.

I see him as a special teams player. He's probably not even good at that

Funchess can fill a role, the question is if he will merely be a role player or have a larger role as a starter in a base offense.

It's been a bummer to see something isn't right with Cam...

#1 because they've crashed out of the playoff picture...most likely.

#2 we've seen big flashes from Samuel + Moore...would have liked to see more. Funchess has been replaced, so you'd be buying in the hopes that he goes to a decent team that needs bodies.

Any love/hope for Jordan Lasley to make it in B-More? Was ranked fairly high in Waldman's RSP and I think he's finally been elevted to the active roster, though not getting many snaps last time I looked. I dumped LaCosse and picked him up after losing in the semis this week

Funchess can fill a role, the question is if he will merely be a role player or have a larger role as a starter in a base offense.

I can't see him being the #1 guy anywhere. He's a solid complimentary option, which could land him a Sanu-type of role on a team. But, he's a sneaky player to watch because this is a relatively weak WR market. So, he might get a lot of interest.

He was never cut from the active roster, but also always a healthy inactive in every game. He may still be in their long-term plans, since they didn't even try to sneak him onto the practice squad, but we will likely not find out anytime soon.
