I think Gronk is done after this year and I’d still do that trade.Shcritters wrote: ↑Wed Nov 21, 2018 7:14 pm Sorry if this is the wrong forum (and I’m going to post it in team advice also)... would you trade Hurst, a 3rd, and Richard for Gronk? TE Super Premium league and need a TE for the stretch run and just lost O.J. I think Gronk will play the rest of this and next year, but after that he’s probably done.
Thoughts?

Re: Rob Gronkowski - how do you value him these days?
I traded for him. I am currently in first place and already had Kelce. I traded a M
2-2019 1st (middle to late)
2019-3rd
for
1.1 or 1.2,
Gronk, and Vic Beasley.
I did not need Gronk to win but I made this trade to keep him from the 2nd place team that needed a TE and also to get a higher 1st this year.

Wait. You gave 2 mid or late firsts for Gronk, Beasley and either the 1.1 or 1.2? Seems there's a piece you gave missing.DynastyDog wrote: ↑Fri Nov 23, 2018 4:10 am I traded for him. I am currently in first place and already had Kelce. I traded a M

Re: Rob Gronkowski - how do you value him these days?
With our roster position requirements I felt I would be able to move Gronk at the draft in the offseason and also be able to keep him off of the 2nd place teams roster. We have 3-4 Teams with major TE needs and really only Fant projected as a high TE coming out. With moving up in the draft I figured a 2019 Draft Package of Harry, Brown, and Gronk were going to better then Harry/Brown, 1.8, and 1.12.Pullo Vision wrote: ↑Fri Nov 23, 2018 9:11 amWait. The 1.1 or 1.2 is worth more than a mid to late 1st and a 3rd. I am not understanding how you got Gronk and Vic on top of that???? Maybe Pullo and I are missing something...DynastyDog wrote: ↑Fri Nov 23, 2018 4:10 am I traded for him. I am currently in first place and already had Kelce. I traded a M

Re: Rob Gronkowski - how do you value him these days?
Gotcha. I thought you were thinking I overpaid for him. I don’t have any intention of having him on my roster next season. I backed Kelce up with Harris and plan on moving Gronk this offseason. That was strictly a defensive trade this season.jomaed wrote: ↑Sat Nov 24, 2018 7:49 amThe 1.1 or 1.2 is worth more than a mid to late 1st and a 3rd. Hoping he still has enough in his tank. I traded Ertz in a TE Premium league for Mike Evans and Gronk

Re: Rob Gronkowski - how do you value him these days?
I'm fine with moving up for 1.1, and with getting Gronk to keep him away from rivals. What isn't clear to me is if you gave more than 2 1sts and a 3rd, cause it seems light. If not, perhaps the owner just got scared of holding the bag on Gronk's value. Maybe older producing players like Gronk are good targets in the future.DynastyDog wrote: ↑Sat Nov 24, 2018 7:40 amWith our roster position requirements I felt I would be able to move Gronk at the draft in the offseason and also be able to keep him off of the 2nd place teams roster. I can only hope that #Gronksmash will smash more than just his owners hearts for the rest of this season.

I want nothing to do with Gronk, down season and the consistent worry that he will up and retire.

Re: Rob Gronkowski - how do you value him these days?
Team 3 -- would you trade him for Calvin Ridley? The full context is that I'm out of the playoffs, but the 4 teams who miss the playoffs have their own tournament for the #1 pick (which ends up being the dynasty rookie 1.01 or a top 50 player who someone can't keep because they're too stacked). Ridley is clearly the better dynasty play, but since I can keep only 5 players, I'm not sure it's worth it if Gronk can help me more this year. Am I way off?
Re: Rob Gronkowski - how do you value him these days?
He is a value risk but that said, depending on the prize involved a contender will pay a high price. His value today is a function of a specific team's need.
I agree he is close to retirement but he is elite when on the field. The retire when Brady retires comment makes a lot of sense.
