“The New England Patriots are releasing Antonio Brown. We appreciate the hard work of many people over the past 11 days, but we feel that it is best to move in a different direction at this time.”

Statement from the Patriots ... it begs the question, up until today were they in favor of the direction that led to women being raped?

So how much money did AB actually make so far this season? Anyone else blow $20 million guaranteed twice like that before?

They were in favor of having a great football player on their team who as of right now is not facing any criminal charges nor had any filed against him.

I just read the texts. What is intimidating about it? Not defending AB, but I'm not seeing anything intimidating, just him telling them to look into his accuser. Am I missing something?
This is still where I stand. I find nothing intimidating about it; all I see is people "investigating" why she was going after him more money and posting pics of the kids to support the theory she is desperate for me - there face is blacked out but for all we know these kids could be in rough shape with missing teeth..

I know I'll be in the minority but I still don't get the "threat" side of this.
Really? You don't see this is as intimidating? Why would she need to know that his entourage is investigating her. You'd think they would wanna keep that under wraps. He wants her to know that he has power, he has minions to do his bidding. C'mon you guys.

Pretty sure as soon as he played 1 game he gets his guarenteed 10 mill from the Pat's.

Not sure you can claw it if you release a guy

Raiders some how ended up looking very crafty in the end paid him $0

Depends on the language of the contract I guess. I would think the Pats are going to try and keep that money, but I have no idea what will happen or if they'll be able to.

This from ESPN:

"The Patriots had agreed to pay Brown a $9 million signing bonus, which was divided into two parts -- $5 million that was due to be paid Sept. 23 (Monday) and $4 million that wasn't due to be paid until Jan. 15."

It sounds like he gets nothing from either the Raiders or Pats. He didn't stay on the team long enough

I read that AB's guaranteed money was due on Monday. Pats were wise to structure the contract with a couple weeks time to consider.

Gotta think that this is it for Brown, holy smokes.

But then again, he'd probably fit right in with KC's culture.
