Knock on wood. Gruden came off like a retard with that phrase.

This suspension could give the Raiders ability to void all guaranteed money and move on.

Technically, he isn't suspended yet...

That's weird. Doesn't make much logical sense. So if a team didn't want to pay a player that part of the contract they could suspend them and then cut them?

Maybe I'm missing something here

I think you'd have to justify a suspension before you can just do that and void a player's contract. In this situation, seems like the Raiders would have a pretty good claim.

I can't believe no one's suggested AB to the Pats yet.

They have to prove conduct detrimental, and I'm sure it's something that's included in the contract somehow considering how his Steelers tenure ended. This isn't me speculating, it's what Schefter and others are reporting as a legitimate possibility.

Traded him for a 19 1st (got Harry at 1.7 there) and Michel this offseason. Feeling pretty good about that right now.

Supposedly he threatened to hit Mayock in the face, punted the ball, and said "fine me for that". At least those are the highlights (or lowlights I guess).

I would assume threatening to assault a staff member would allow you to void almost any contractual obligation.

And Vontaze Burfict of all people was the one holding AB back and trying to de-escalate the situation.

What a soap opera. It doesn't even seem real, but it's happening. What a waste.
