Am I the only one that finds it hilarious that Brown doesn’t wear proper gear on his head or feet?
Probably explains some of his behaviors.

The helmet problem is probably mostly because of the age of the helmet. A 10 year old helmet is not doing much to protect anyone, especially if it's been in use for that long. It's a safety issue, and one that's actually backed up by real data. So I guess I'm on the NFLs side this time.

So we’re did he get the Raiders version of his old helmet? Did he paint his Steelers helmet ... lol. I don’t understand how he was sneaking his old helmet onto the practice field.

FWIW Silver tries to make anything Raiders look as bad as possible since they fired Hue. I do not believe AB will retire, but it's just a headache as a fan.

I'd buy for a lot less than I'd sell for. I still think he puts up WR1 numbers for a few years. He was just voted the best WR in the league by his peers. He's an elite player, he's also just an elite head case as well. As long as he puts points up, I'll deal with the BS. I would gladly buy for a late first on a contender, but would not sell for anything close to that.

With the whole concussion problem in full flight there is no way the NFL could allow someone to wear an old helmet. AB needs to grow up and wear the new helmets like everyone else, I thought OBJ was a diva......

I own AB everywhere, and long ago decided to ride him out, and it has paid off in spades. Haven’t missed a playoffs in years on this man’s back. I’m holding for good unless I get a great offer, like low WR1 value. He’s my guy.

But I’m obviously worried. He’s a wild card. At the same time he is a total professional at this game when it comes to his craft on the field, and the sum of his whacko off field behavior last year and this year has resulted in him balling the F out, missing just 1 game that he wanted to play in, and that’s it. Everything else is TMZ and gossip mags doing their thing to stir up controversy.

Basically, he is a wild card, we don’t know his role and fit in the offense, so we can’t project him well, but until I see otherwise with my own eyes, I strongly believe that 1) he will show up and play at his always elite level and 2) the role will be big enough to sustain some continued high end fantasy success.

Clearly the guy is going through some really difficult stuff. Maybe it's CTE, maybe it's something else. I think through all of this he has been enabled instead of helped.
If his helmet doesn't meet saftey guidelines on current best practice safety metrics then he shouldn't be allowed use it. Period.
If he refuses to wear safety approved equipment then he can't play.
Sure people will say he can sign a waiver, but to be that should not be allowed. It sets a dangerous presidence.
I say this as someone who leveraged my future firsts to acquire him.
