Yeah I nabbed him as a replacement for a second round pick in a big trade where my friend didn't want to give up quite so many picks. I feel like he's definitely worth a second rounder right now. Granted, he just feasted on two of the worse secondaries in the league. But I already feel like I could start him at WR3 and not worry too much

It sure does seem that way, at least there is no uber talented TE to take targets too

From Rotoworld:

Ravens CB Lardarius Webb said that Antonio Brown is better than Mike Wallace.
"They have a guy in No. 84, Antonio Brown, who's better than 17 in all aspects of the game," said Webb. We're not going that far, but it speaks to how talented Brown is. With Emmanuel Sanders (knee, personal) possibly out this week, Brown is looking at a full complement of snaps out wide as a high-upside WR3. Hines Ward will man the slot.

Antoinio Brown

Postby ??Droppedballs?? » Sat Nov 12, 2011 1:21 am

i picked him up this offseason during our fa bidding for $1, thought he might have a couple of good games and planned on flipping him, but he has gotten 35 targets over the last 3 games and has put up almost 50 points in a .5 ppr league, in those games. i am now thinking he might be a keeper, he runs pretty clean routes and is the maclin to wallace's, d jackson. is that a fair assesment or am i off

only asking because im getting interest for other gms, nothing i would accept yet but he is 23 yrs old and with wallace on the otherside, i think he could keep seeing the targets

team in sig and as u can tell i have a pretty bare shelf, minus aj green and j graham

With ur wr being so thin i would be inclined to keep him unless u can flip him for 2 wr2. Maybe get a couple of guys that are not so hot right now but have potential.

I think it's important to remember that Sanders has been out, so the situation isn't exactly the Steelers in post-Hines Ward mode. That said, i'm very high on Brown and wouldn't move him unless I got a clear starter for my team.

WR3-WR4 value in return is what I'd be seeking for him. He's in a decent situation, young, and shown flashes of good production. His recent value is quite a climb from the WW material he was not too long ago in many leagues. If you can't get good enough value he's a fine 'hold'.

I was just wondering where you guys have him ranked right now? I think he is a top 15 WR but I know I am a little higher on him than some people. Is he top 30, top 20, or a top 15 WR? Or maybe you think he isn't even in the top 30.

Borderline top 25 for me, and a definite hold.

I was offered Hernandez & a 2012 first round pick for him (1.6 to 1.8 range). I thought about it, but the offer was sent right before the trade deadline had past, so even if I wanted to accept, I couldn't.

I would have accepted that one with a quickness if it was sent before the trade deadline had passed. That is alot of value. Heck, I may have taken Hernandez for him straight up if I had a need at TE. I like Brown and what he has done this year, but his sample size is a little too small for me to invest much in him. I guess I'm confident in my ability to find those types of players in FA every year since a few off-the-radar guys seem to emerge. Maybe I'm just too stubborn to give up too much for a player who could have been had off of the scrap heap earlier in the season. Hernandez and a mid-1st should get you an every week starter and I don't think Brown qualifies unless your team is pretty horrible. I also think Sanders should eat into Brown's production quite a bit if he comes back 100% next season.

I'm slotting him to finish anywhere between 10-20 for WR's next year.

I'm gonna assume you have mike Wallace in the top 5. I feel confident in saying the Steelers passing game isn't good enough to support 2 top 15 wrs.
