The Raiders have sacrificed no cap money in this whole fiasco, lost a couple mid round picks that have a fairly low hit rate anyways. It's not the end of the world for them by any means.
Yeah, I agree on the low cost, but there is damage to the credibility of the organization. The don't know what they can handle. Not the end of the world but had they avoided him they could've gone another route to bolster the WRs.
The Raiders have made a lot of questionable decision; but this whole ordeal with Brown is not one of them. At least imo, everything that's happened just confirms that AB is an ego maniac that doesn't care about football anymore. You could argue that the Raiders hot and cold reactions on the day to day reports of this incident hint at a lack of decisiveness... or you could recognize that the player involved was highly volatile and their reactions were a symptom of this volatility-- The Raiders wanted him to play if he accepted his role as a player on the team, Brown apologized and overtly accepted the role when he apologized to his team... only to release the closed door phone call between him and Gruden and change his tune once more on social media.

This looks far, far more unfavorably on AB than it does the Raiders, at least in my mind.

False, they rescinded his guarantees and termination pay stipulations, which caused him to post the video and then request his release. The initial action was very unfavorable AB, but since Wed it has been mismanagement by the FO.

For the longest time we all heard everyone say how Gruden runs the show. Now it appears that Mayock has the power...

Which is it?

This made Gruden look weak AND foolish. Knock on wood if you're with me.

Lol
