I would agree with you 3 years ago Mangelo, but the more I have seen the Steelers play in the past few years the more they are passing, much like the Packers. The NFL is changing to a pass heavy league and with the Wrs the Steelers have I think they have moved into a passing team. Wallace is a top 5 wr, I think Brown can break the top 15 but I would bet against it. It all depends on how they use Sanders when he comes back fully healthy next year.Mangelo wrote:Wallace's Warriors wrote:I was just wondering where you guys have him ranked right now? I think he is a top 15 WR but I know I am a little higher on him than some people. Is he top 30, top 20, or a top 15 WR? Or maybe you think he isn't even in the top 30.
I'm gonna assume you have mike Wallace in the top 5. I feel confident in saying the Steelers passing game isn't good enough to support 2 top 15 wrs.

Just seeing what the forum thinks of Brown. I am high on him and am going to attempt to get him in my Rookie/Free Agent draft with my 1.7
Also really like the Lateround quartback site. Would like to buy the book if I could put it on my android.

I'm surprised he's a free agent. I think he's a strong WR2 and has been putting in more time than Wallace this offseason with wallace's contract issues. I'm expecting another strong season from Brown!

He is actually on a roster. At our roster cuts we cut down to 16 and have to put 6 up for draft picks. Two 1st,2nd,and 3rds. He was put up for a first.

Re: Antonio Brown
I too am surprised he is available and I would not think that he would last until the 1.07 for you to get him.
I am high on him this year, especially with a lack of a solid run game going into this year in Pitt. Some people may argue that point, but I think Pitt throws a ton this year. Brown holds value even in a nonPPR format, just beacuse I think he will get a lot of looks his way.

Re: Antonio Brown
While I don't think Brown will fizzle out, I do think his numbers will be slightly less this year. Emmanuel Sanders is healthy and will take some of Brown's receptions. The improved offensive line also helps out Mike Wallace more than anything creating another downtick for Brown. Brown will be a solid #3 fantasy wr this year but I wouldn't expect much more than that.

Re: Antonio Brown
He also had Wallace in constant bracket coverage making life easier for him. If Wallace misses time, it hurts Brown.I1URACK wrote:I'm surprised he's a free agent. Wallace is a far greater talent. Brown thrived off of being the guy across from Wallace. He won't be sneaking up on anyone this year.

Re: Antonio Brown
Well, with his new, big contract, the Steelers certainly think a lot of him.
Re: Antonio Brown
I can't imagine how pissed off Mike Wallace is right now. He's had several years of production and couldn't get a contract extension. Brown has one good year and gets $8 million per year. It's looking like Wallace plays under his RFA this year, gets franchised next year and plays in a new home in 2014.Tattoo wrote:Well, with his new, big contract, the Steelers certainly think a lot of him.

Re: Antonio Brown
The obvious is Redman, but don't count out the real possibility of Dwyer getting a lot of carries. Either way, if Mendy ever gets to 100% health, he'll take back over the job. He's easily the most talented and it's not even close. Mendy is a better RB than most people think. He's had to run behind the worst line in football, with an OC that telegraphed plays, and he still had good numbers.dresden wrote:Any inside scoop on the Steeler's RB situation?joeday wrote:I'm so happy I had him as a sleeper in the pre season last year...helps living in Pittsburgh
Re: Antonio Brown
Not just because of the new contract, but I have decided to keep Brown over Nicks, if thats any help on his value.
I think the Steelers see everything in Brown that they thought they had in Holmes.

Re: Antonio Brown
You kept Brown over a top 5 dynasty WR? I think brown is being overrated. A major reason why he was able to do as well as he did was because Wallace was occupying the no. 1 CB, a safety, and opening a huge amount of room for Brown underneath. If Wallace holds out or is traded, Brown is forced into the no. 1 role and sees bracket coverage. I think the 2nd half of last year was his ceiling. Brown is a better route runner but Wallace is way more talented. If Wallace isn't with the Steelers, I'm not touching any steelers this year. Bad sign when your top RB and WR are stretched beyond capabilitiesTyphus wrote:Not just because of the new contract, but I have decided to keep Brown over Nicks, if thats any help on his value.

Re: Antonio Brown
doesnt help when wallace thinks he is going to get fitz or megatron money, he needs to be realistic, he is not fitz or megatron, he is a speed guy, i think some people need to start grabbing e. sanders, just in case, but reallistically wallace has no choice at all unless he wants to sit out til week 10, which wont really help him in his bid for his next contract, steelers or not.dresden wrote:I can't imagine how pissed off Mike Wallace is right now.
