I've been following football for a long time, this has been hands down the most bleep bizarre saga I have encountered.

Not usually. NFL usually doesn't suspend unless there are pictures or video or audio prior to an investigation.

That's not exactly what he's saying. He is saying that people around football are wondering if Goodell and the NFL would put him on that, and the NFL had no idea about it. It's a civil suit, BTW.

When asked about it, he confirmed that the NFL doesn't care whether it is a criminal or civil suit when handing down punishment to "bad actors". In the interview he basically is saying that, ear to the ground, he's hearing from people around the league that placing him on the commissioners exempt list is a consideration.
