I am a bit worried he doesn't return to the field this year. One of the dr profiles on twitter mentioned they could keep saying he'll come back, and then just shut him down. I can't remember who else that happened with a few years back, but it was mostly about selling tickets and not losing the fans.

Another fine example of being mislead, but it wasn't Mixon. Just google'd it.

It was Luck in 2017. I'm worried of parallels to that. It's not written in stone, just a weird vibe.

A timeline from then...

Luck had surgery in mid-January to repair a torn labrum in his throwing shoulder.

2017 offseason:
Organized team activities, mandatory minicamp, training camp — Luck is visible, but takes no snaps. He starts training camp on the physically unable to perform list.

Aug. 13- 31: He misses all four preseason games.

Sept. 2: Colts activate Luck from the PUP list and is on the active roster in time for the 2017 season.

Oct. 4: Luck practices with the team for first time this year. He would practice three more times.

Oct. 18: In a setback, General Manager Chris Ballard says Luck will not practice this week.

End of October: Luck sees multiple specialists for opinion on lingering pain in his throwing arm.

Nov. 2: Colts put Luck on injured reserve, making it official: He will not play a single down this season.

I've had talks with another manager. He has multiple in 2023 and I believe was considering that.

Being reported that Thomas has an ankle injury as well now. Glad I got out before the season started.

Well I am expecting him to get shut down for the season soon. Next year hopefully leads him to a better QB.

After the season ends, and the Saints cut ties (least that's my guess); I expect to hear AB-like reports on how much drama has been going on behind the scenes with Thomas that the organization has been keeping under wraps to avoid the unwanted negative attention during the season. Maybe not AB level melt-down, but something similar.
