Had a ridiculous team prior to last year when I ran into some crazy bad luck. Looks like it’s turning around as I got breida as a throw in yesterday and added Alf on the Evan Silva tweets this morning about three hours before injury. 8-)

As someone mentioned previously, I think the 49ers are going to massively disappoint people offensively this season. The Falcons struggled mightily in year 1, specifically Ryan. I lean towards Jimmy struggling more than thriving, as it’s basically year 1 for him as well. Morris will be very sketchy as a flex play at best, and touchdown dependent. Breida is probably the back you want to own if any because he’ll catch passes. Alfred will have too many weeks with 10-12 carries and basically get you a brutal 4-6 points.

Matt Breida isn't a starter in the NFL. Maybe it's because I watch all the 49er games but to me he's just blatantly more a Kendall Hunter than anything else, which was why I didn't bother stashing him in keeper leagues when Hyde was going into free agency.

Alfred Morris looked good last year to be honest. Yes I know he had Dallas line but Dallas line couldn't make Darren Mcfadden look good anymore, Morris passed the eye test to me. I think he could handle 15 carries a game still. We aren't talking Pro Bowl here or anything, but RB3 in fantasy sure why not if he falls into the endzone a bunch of times.

There were 62 RBs that received 25+ targets last year. Breida ranked 62nd amongst them in his conversion rate.

49ers might be better suited to throw a 6th or 7th rounder toward Washington and take Perine off their hands...

As an owner of a couple of Perine shares I would be fine with that. :)

There is a name that hasnt been mentioned and I am not going to just because its a pretty deep sleeper (I am monitoring him in most of my leagues). But he did have (I felt) solid chemistry with Garoppolo last year.

I can definitely see that. That said, if Breida could put on some weight, this might be a rare case where I think it'd be a good thing.

Otherwise, yeah, with Morris there I'm not thrilled about either of them. Another RBBC mess to avoid.

It's obviously not basically year 1. He's made five starts for this team already. He already thrived, and now he's had an entire offseason to prepare. Difficult to rationally argue how that, and getting Garcon back, is going to hurt him.

It is rational to worry about SF's red-zone efficiency, however. Even with Jimmy they weren't great scoring through the air last year.
Breida is probably the back you want to own if any because he’ll catch passes.

Kyle Juszczyk is quietly the best pass-catcher in SF's backfield now, and it may not be close.

There are some things I like about Breida, but he wasn't a trusted pass-catcher in college, and he wasn't efficient doing it as a rookie despite clear intention by SF to use him that way.
Alfred will have too many weeks with 10-12 carries and basically get you a brutal 4-6 points.
This is plausible.

Held Breida wouldn’t give as throw in to McKinnon owner. Grabbed Morris for $5 FAAB ($100 budget). My team is in signature. Trying a strategy this year loaded up on RBs rookie draft and free agency (our FAAB opens after week 1 preseason). Hoping it pays off with picks or players I want long term. RBs always gain trade value in season.

SF could be in trouble. Breida will be the RB1 here IMO and Morris is an adequate fill in. Wouldn't surprise me if they pick another RB via trade.

yup. I'm wondering if Kittle or the slot man get the biggest boost from this. I wouldn't start any of the RBs except for 16 team leagues.

Morris has been steamrolling his way up re-draft boards these past few days. If you have any drafts left - do not be surprised if you have to add him in Round 7-8.
