Re: Let’s talk... Baker Mayfield
Everyone should be optimistic about Mayfield. His game has translated well to the NFL level.
I would caution anyone wanting to trade for him ... wait until the Browns select their new head coach. This selection is extremely important to Mayfield's future.

He's going to unlock David Njoku. That's what I'm here for.

Re: Let’s talk... Baker Mayfield
Ya he seemed to love his TEs in college, and Andrews is no Njoku. He and Callaway seem to have a good connection too, but Landry seems to have gone a bit quiet with Baker. Overall the Browns are looking like a potential fantasy gold mine though. I think their defense is a sneaky contender for #1 fantasy D next year too.

Re: Let’s talk... Baker Mayfield
Mayfield was the clear no. 1 QB prospect in this class, and I stand by my ranking that I would've taken him at 1.01 in superflex and 2QB leagues over Barkley. With the rumors swirling about CLE possibly hiring Bruce Arians in the offseason, I'd be buying high on Mayfield wherever possible, because his value might not even be close to his ceiling yet. Even if CLE goes in another direction at head coach, we've seen that Mayfield can be a solid fantasy QB1 with even semi-competent coaching.

Arians coming to CLE is a dream scenario for Mayfield. I'm cautious about overreacting to him tearing up a few of the league's worst defenses, but damn if he doesn't have that "it" factor.WhatWouldDitkaDo wrote: ↑Tue Nov 27, 2018 11:04 am Mayfield was the clear no. 1 QB prospect in this class, and I stand by my ranking that I would've taken him at 1.01 in superflex and 2QB leagues over Barkley. He just became available on waivers in my league. Does he bounce back next year and become a decent starting qb or does he go the way of Johnny manziel or somewhere in between?

Re: Baker mayfield
Johnny Football never showed any ability in the NFL, Baker did set the rookie TD record when he didn't start the whole season and partly with Hue Jackson. He's been terrible this year but he has shown he can do it. Worth a flyer.Sfoster2625 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2019 1:19 am He just became available on waivers in my league. I think he has the upside to take a flyer on in a 1QB as well.AussieMate wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2019 2:39 amJohnny Football never showed any ability in the NFL, Baker did set the rookie TD record when he didn't start the whole season and partly with Hue Jackson. I struggled valuing him in 2 QB though because I'm not sure where he ends up. Felt risky having him in both leagues so I sold him in one for basically Matt Ryan

I'd take him as a stash. I assume this is 1qb, seems like he could you could drop several qb's for stashes elsewhere

He flat out shouldn't be on waivers and this should be in team advice.

In a shallow 8 or 10 team, single qb league, it's not out of the question, especially with talks of Landry and OBJ wanting out.Dynasty DeLorean wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2019 7:19 am He flat out shouldn't be on waivers and this should be in team advice.

Re: Baker mayfield
I guess he probably should be rostered, but there's no reason to have 6 QBs in a 1QB league, especially when you only have 5 RBs rostered.
