Re: Corey Coleman traded to the Bills
This could have been an improvement if Tyrod was going with him. But he's not. So it's not.
Re: Corey Coleman traded to the Bills
He goes from his opportunity with the wildly inaccurate Kizer to the bafflingly worse accuracy of Allen. Poor kid. I would have liked to see what he could do with Mayfield.

What do we think the chances are that Cleveland made this move to make room for signing Dez?

I think they made this move to justify the contract they gave to Landry...

It is possible. They have had preliminary meetings already.Bjordan554207 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 05, 2018 8:01 pm What do we think the chances are that Cleveland made this move to make room for signing Dez?

Re: Corey Coleman traded to the Bills
At the very least he'll help open off the offense for McCoy. Bills passing game remains a huge concern. Makes the Browns seem more confident in Gordon's return.

Re: Corey Coleman traded to the Bills
By that I mean...Coleman was reportedly doing quite well in camp. Dorsey would look awfully foolish giving big new contracts to guys that won’t get pretty heavy snap shares. If Landry isn’t on the field nearly 100% of the time, they overpaid him. Duke needs to play with some regularity to justify the contract, so some slot work there. With Coleman looking promising, Gordon demanding snapshare, it looked like some of Duke’s and Landry’s snap share could go to Coleman, which doesn’t sit well. Easier to trade him and not have your contracts look overblown.
Or maybe Coleman just sucks...but I don’t think so

Re: Corey Coleman traded to the Bills
Volume will be his friend? You know they are going to be playing from behind for the entire season. Might end up with a large amount of targets. Hold.

So was he buried or wasnt he? Lol seems like you contradicted yourself.flyersfan1981 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 05, 2018 7:33 pmHe was basically drafted to be the top option in Cleveland and failed to capitalize on his opportunity. He goes from the sixth option to the third.. mccoy, benjamin, coleman.
The fact still remains that he has less competition in buffalo for targets.
Re: Corey Coleman traded to the Bills
It’s good news because he’ll start and play. It’s not ideal news because Buffalo’s passing game will stink. But are their good teams that could have used him? He’s getting this chance because Buffalo has a barren WR core and their desperate. If you’re maintaining belief in Coleman’s future this is the best you could have hoped for

Re: Corey Coleman traded to the Bills
I guess my point was he wasn't buried because they had too many players at the position and he didn't have any opportunity. He had lots of opportunity and he showed he isn't very good.ImaRounder wrote: ↑Sun Aug 05, 2018 8:29 pmSo was he buried or wasnt he? A 1 and 35 team is probably not the worst place to leave. I'm intrigued now that he's out of Cleveland.

Re: Corey Coleman traded to the Bills
Failed to capitalize on what exactly. A team that has gone 1-31 and whose best quarterback the last decade just threw four interceptions in the CFL. He also dealt with some unlucky injuries. Going to a team that can actually win and has some semblance of an actual football team will only help him. I could see him becoming a useful WR 2/3 if things break well in Buffalo.flyersfan1981 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 05, 2018 7:33 pmHe was basically drafted to be the top option in Cleveland and failed to capitalize on his opportunity. Re: Corey Coleman traded to the Bills
Either this is a vote of confidence in Josh Gordon or Coleman was really horrifically bad.
