Fact- He'll get exposed as a slot-only Landry-wanabe. Coach Gruden isn't sold on Cooper and built in redundancies should he fail. Nelson will become the short/intermediate target while Bryant will strike deep in a traditional/throwback offense like Dallas has been operating. Switzer was brought in to cover the slot in case Cooper gets another bad case of the ouchies.

Relying on an aging WR, a pothead and an aging RB running behind an underperforming oline makes the entire offense dicey.
spot on

Narrative: Allen Robinson had a fluky good year and is coming off an injury, he's a WR #2

Reality: that fluky good year was the year he wasn't awesome. He finishes top 5 PPR
Uh no one is saying that about Arob.

Seriously though, I'm diggin' this thread. Great topic idea.
Agreed, love the thread.

However, some people are in multiple leagues, some put only one league in their signature, and I myself own, pursued and bought players who I don't think have optimistic 2018 outlooks.
League #1- 14 tm ppr, 1Q, 2R, 3W, 1T, 1 R/W/T, 1K
1 DT, 2 DE, 2 LB, 1 CB, 1 S, 1 flex

League #2- 12 team PPR, 1Q, 1R, 2W, 1T, 1 R/W/T, 1 W/R/T, 1 Def

League #3- 12 tm PPR, 1Q, 0R (yes, ZERO RB) 3W, 1T, 2 R/W/T flex, 1 Def

Meh I dunno about that. I posted about Barkley and I have him in one of my two leagues. I am just more realistic about my expectations.

Narrative: Jarvis' targets will be distributed between Parker, Stills, Amendola, Wilson, Drake, and Ballage.

Reality: While everyone sees a slight bump in targets, the guys that pick up that role (short yardage pass) is Albert Wilson and Kenyan Drake. Wilson is used much like Landry but has more intermediate and deep passes sprinkled in. Whereas Drake sees the field as a WR when Gore or Ballage are playing RB. Drake also catches a lot of Landry like short passes the times he's spit out wide. Wilson ends the season as a mid range WR2 and Drake a low end RB1.

I’ve got a different take on the above post^

Narrative: Landry’s targets get redistributed and player X is valuable

Reality: Miami offense goes full dumpster fire. Low value guys like Wilson might pay off but overall no one on that team is too valuable
main league, half PPR, all TDs 6, -3 for INT
12 team. 2019 champ, 2020 runner up, ‘21 3rd
start 2SF, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 2WRT

QB: T Lawrence, K Cousins, R Wilson, Z Wilson
RB: K Walker, T Ettiene, JK Dobbins, D Gore, J Hasty, D Johnson, L Rountree
WR: JJ, AJB, A Cooper, Juju, C Kirk, J Dotson, N Westbrook-Ikhine, I McKenzie
TE. T Kelce, Pitts, Albert O, D Parham, J O’Shaunessy

Narrative: jerrick mckinnon will thrive in shanahans offense.

Reality: hes a workout warrior who sucks at football.

Narrative: penny is seattles savior at rb.

Reality: carson holds the job and seattles continues their landslide into irrelevance because they wasted a first round pick on a rb instead of the line or defense.

Narrative: or should i say lack thereof, ty hilton anyone...

Reality: returns to top five in rec yards.

This is an odd take. Hasn't he already proven that he does not suck at football? I'm not saying he'll thrive in SF, but he's not some rookie with zero NFL snaps.
Not all that counts can be counted. Not all that can be counted counts.

I mean yes , he obviously doesn't suck at football, hes in the nfl. But he is not a featured back. Not even close.

Got ya.

He's definitely not your traditional three down back, but has the upside to be the better part of a committee if Garapolo continues to play well. These days, that's decent value.

Im with you on that, and see it much of the same way. I think he puts up similar numbers as last year. I was only referring to the people who are putting him ahead of the freeman or fournettes in rankings.

narrative: jordan howard cant catch the ball out the backfield and will be replaced by tarik cohen because of it

reality: jordan howard gets his customary 250-300 touches and finishes as a top 7 rb

Very possible. Wouldn't surprise me if the entire offense implodes, taking Tannehill, Parker and Gase with it. Miami, I think, has a legit shot st a top 5 pick and perhaps even #1 overall.
League #1- 14 tm ppr, 1Q, 2R, 3W, 1T, 1 R/W/T, 1K

League #3- 12 tm PPR, 1Q, 0R (yes, ZERO RB) 3W, 1T, 2 R/W/T flex, 1 Def

I liked Parker (had him on my team until recently) but from a perspective of someone betting lines and seeing the personnel moves Miami had made... this team seriously worries me

So do you only like players you own? Or do you own players you like? I find the latter scenario the most likely.

Amari = 2019's version of Davante Adams?
