What's your 2018 all sleeper team?
Let's roll with the format of 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE
Everyone defines sleeper differently, but generally guys that are undervalued or haven't shown much lately (or ever) and could jump their way into the WR/RB 2 range or QB/TE 1 range.
Here's mine:
QB: Sam Bradford - when healthy he's good. Maybe using DJ as a safety valve, he can stay healthy for the year?
RB: Tarik Cohen - Showed flashes at the beginning of the year but then disappeared. Think the new coaching staff can use him right. Probably my least sleeperish choice
RB: Jeremy Hill - The way I see it Michel = Lewis and Burkhead, Hill = Blount. Lots of TDs for Hill.
WR: Albert Wilson - Jarvis lite, with more big plays and TDs.
WR: Chad Hansen - Eric Decker 2.0?
WR: Brandon LaFell - he holds off the young guys and puts up a 2016 Crabtree like season.
TE: Jared Cook - Carr improves, Lynch regresses, and Cook is Carr's binky on the short stuff.

Re: What's your 2018 all sleeper team?
Despite having had a few drafts, it is a bit early for me to have sleepers in mind that I'm going to actively acquire. However, my not selling cheap/picking up late in rookies/vet drafts or trading rookie picks for while OTC team is
QB - Keenum. Not cheap cheap, but still not viewed/valued as more than a short term QB
RB - L Miller. Also not super cheap, but I expect will out perform his ADP.
RB - R Burkhead. No one pays for the BB RBBC lottery. My guess is Rex gets most GL looks, so is my choice.
WR - T Ginn. WW player who should continue to put up decent FF numbers.
WR - K Stills.* Poor man's DJax.
WR - C Beasley. Disappointed last year, but Switzer is gone (as is Written), so I'm hoping for a bounce back.
TE T Kroft. Been hoping for a break out for the last two years. TEs usually take a while to get going, so maybe this is his year.
*The only player I do not own. Perhaps I should acquire a share.

QB - Tyrod Tayler (if he succeed early on in the season he keeps starting and of course, he runs)
RB - Ty Montgomery (should be just fine)
RB - Bilal Powell (he can get it down, as a 3rd down back and when the other guys going down after week 3)

WR - Donte Moncrief (everything is possible with the JAX WRs)
WR - Devante Parker (TD upside in a pass heavy team next year)

Re: What's your 2018 all sleeper team?
QB: Tyrod Taylor - put up QB1 numbers in BUF with a bad line and no weapons. Imagine the possibilities with a decent line along with Gordon, Coleman, Landry, and Njoku.
RB: Marshawn Lynch - put up RB2 numbers last year, and OAK should be better offensively this year.
RB: Rex Burkhead - Michel is the shiny new toy, but he should still get about 40% of the touches.
WR: Torrey Smith - inconsistent, but I don't see why he can't be a boom-or-bust WR3 filling the old Ted Ginn role in CAR
WR: Kenny Golladay - big time potential as the primary red zone target and gets open deep
WR: Emmanuel Sanders - Keenum isn't a good NFL QB, but he's competent, which is a huge upgrade from DEN's 2017 QBs
TE: Tyler Eifert - immense upside if healthy. I view his injuries as more Gronk-like freak injuries than the recurring Jordan Reed concussions and soft tissue injuries.

Re: What's your 2018 all sleeper team?
QB Joe Flacco - The line should be better and his back injury probably hindered him more than was let on last year. Baltimore throws a lot and I think we'll see a ticked off Flacco come out of his shell a bit with the rookie added, similar to Alex Smith last year.
RB Marshawn Lynch - He was a low RB1 after the game suspension last year. He looked out of shape early in the year, but 2nd half Lynch looked like his old self. The line underachieved and should bounce back this year, and you can buy for an early 3rd in some leagues.
RB Isaiah Crowell - Man this guy's value just fell off the face of the earth. He's still a decently paid young starter in line for some carries. I could see similar numbers to 2016 as the lead dog in an RBBC with Powell. (I would have said Burkhead, but I didn't want to copy WWDD up there )
WR DeSean Jackson
WR Paul Richardson
WR Noah Brown
TE Luke Willson

Kinda hard to call 1st and early 2nd rookie picks as sleepers?

As an owner of 4 of these guys (and not relying on any of them, except maybe Eifert), I hope you are right. Will be glad to flip them mid season.WhatWouldDitkaDo wrote: ↑Thu May 24, 2018 2:13 pm QB: Tyrod Taylor - put up QB1 numbers in BUF with a bad line and no weapons. Re: What's your 2018 all sleeper team?
I’m seeing several names mentioned that I also like but here goes anyway.
QB: Case Keenum: I think he’s better than he’s given credit for and will have some nice weapons in Denver too, I’m not predicting anything crazy like top-10 but I could see top 15 perhaps.
RB: L.Miller: I know he’s been named a couple of times but I’ve drafted him late in a couple of startups and I think he could be a huge sleeper. If Foreman comes back strong then maybe he takes over the backfield but I’ll be surprised if Foreman isn’t at least eased back in or starts the season on the PUP list, short-term IR, etc, that’s a serious injury to come back from and that offense is going to score a lot and if Miller holds onto that backfield, he’ll put up some nice numbers.
RB: CJA: He should get a decent amount of the early down work and he’s pretty cheap.
WR: Tyler Lockett: I don’t expect huge numbers but he’s another guy that is cheap and even though the Seahawks are planning on being a more run based offense, their D “looks” like it will give up quite a bit of points so they will still be throwing more than they are letting on, Baldwin can’t get all of the targets and Richardson is in DC. I’ve got Lockett stashed on several teams.
WR: Randall Cobb: Again, not expecting huge numbers but he had 66-653 4TDs last season, he should easily surpass that.
WR: Dante Pettis: As far as their WRs go, other than Garçon, there’s not much there, I could be wrong but I highly doubt Goodwin will ever duplicate that 2017 season and the 49ers traded up for Pettis, right now I’m seeing him go late 2nd in my rookie drafts, I got him at 2.08 and 2.12 in some of my early drafts.
TE: R.Seals-Jones: I know he’s not a finished product but he should be on the field a lot and he’s pretty cheap, maybe even on waivers in some leagues, he could surprise some people.

Re: What's your 2018 all sleeper team?
My definition of Sleeper is going to fall somewhere in the middle - guys not ranked as clear starters at their position, but also household names that are definitely on all rosters - even in most shallow leagues. I'm going to include each player's ESPN positional rank in parenthesis just for reference:
Quarterback: Marcus Mariota (QB #22) - If he can stay healthy, I think he rebounds in a big way. He's got an up-and-coming Offensive Coordinator in Matt LaFleur - out with the old ground & pound offense and in with a more creative offense that should open things up. Much of his down season in 2017 was poor Touchdown percentages - so he's an obvious candidate for positive regression.
Running Back: Marlon Mack (RB #32) - Was already RB #47 last year on just 114 total touches. Frank Gore's departure leaves 290 touches vacated, and I'd bet that about half of those go to Mack. The offense should be better if Luck can return healthy, and the team ignored the RB position in the draft with their 4 2nd round picks - which is a sweet spot to draft Running Backs
Running Back: Theo Riddick (RB #53) - I really struggled to find a 2nd Running Back for this list, so I'll settle on a pass-catching specialist who will almost certainly out-perform this ranking. Riddick was RB #13 in ppg last year and has caught 50+ passes each of the past 3 years. Abdullah is getting phased out, and I don't see Blount or Johnson as a threat to his receiving workload.
Wide Receiver: Albert Wilson (N/A) - Not even on their top60 list of Wide Receivers, Wilson is a major bargain and I expect his hype to build the closer we get to the regular season. I just created a post dedicated to Wilson as a sleeper, so this is an easy call for me. I think he has sneaky upside in Landry's old role, and could work his way into WR 2 / 3 discussion later this year.
Wide Receiver: Allen Hurns (WR #49) - I'm not a huge believer in his talent, but I always thought he was a poor man's Dez Bryant - now he gets to replace a broken down Dez Bryant. The offense is completely devoid of proven pass-catchers, so it wouldn't surprise me if Hurns steps in immediately as Dak's #1 WR. I think his ceiling is capped compared to some other similarly-valued WRs (Bryant / Parker / Fuller), but he might have the safest floor.
Tight End: George Kittle / Rico Gathers / Vance McDonald - Basically, any high-upside TE that is ranked outside the top12. All 3 of these guys are elite athletes in promising offenses. The Tight End position is very unique - there are enough "serviceable" or safe options, that I'm stashing high-upside guys in hopes of catching lightning in a bottle.
