Great metrics, underwhelming collegiate career. He's a powerful, explosive athlete albeit small, with good receiving chops who landed in the league's top offense for passing volume to running backs. With Ingram out 4 games, you aren't going to get a better dart throw rb at the end of rookie drafts.

From the buzz I am hearing, which this is MUCH too early in the year to count on anything, it sounds like the current lead dog is Jonathan Williams to fill in for those 4 games. But frankly at this point... who knows? It's a complete spin of the wheel right now

Who knows? But I have picked him up in a few places. I don't like Matt Waldman for top end prospects particularily, but he does tend to point out some UDFA late round guys well. I remember him really liking Jalen Richard, before anyone knew who he was, and he made it on to an NFL roster and made some big splash plays early in his career. He mentioned Scott pre-draft, and the fact that he is Sproles size and went to the Saints makes him a WW/4th round flyer IMO.

There's some appeal with Scott, but the problem insofar as replacing Ingram is that he just doesn't profile for it. If anything, Scott profiles to backup Kamara. edit: I dunno, though. Stranger things have happened. Scott does run with good pad level and pop, which scatbacks have to have to be worth a damn between the tackles.

And Devonta Freeman, Spencer Ware, Ahmad Bradshaw back in the day, maybe Peyton Barber (we'll see how he does this year). There's others. Yeah, he's pretty good at finding gems in the dirt. Also goes for WRs and TEs.

I agree the top of his boards can get strange. At all the positions. I wonder if he overthinks top prospects, whereas with less heralded guys he's more zen with his assessment.

Yes fun free pickup. I didn't necessarily prefer him to Williams/Edmunds I just had the space on my taxi and he was free.

Im thinking the best replacement for Ingram is Kamara instead of Williams or anyone else. Then Scott plays his own roll( the Sproles roll which Payton already has written)

Something I learned this morning:

Scott has 'cramp-fasciculation syndrome'. It's partly why he didn't have a big season until his final year. The disease is not well understood and there's no cure; the symptoms can only be coped with.

I read that the reason Scott has become a squat and bench-press monster is because he lived in the gym building up his physical strength to try and make the symptoms of his disease less frequent in incidence. But any stress/anxiety/fatigue puts him at risk of being sidelined for awhile.

Very interesting. Did not know that was a thing, much less that he had it.

Another example why one can't trust Rotoworld blurbs to tell us important things about a player. :problem:

I've been looking to see ANY recent chatter on Scott, and can't.

Anyone else starting to get somewhat excited that he can keep a valuable role in PPR leagues?

Yeah, I could see Howard moving on and Scott working behind Sanders as the 1B in PHI. That said, I don't know that he'd be more than a boom or bust flex. I'd hold for now, as his value could go up if Sanders is out vs SEA, and Scott has a nice game. In the offseason though, I'd sell Scott for a mid 2nd or better.
