Cam Meredith is officially a Saint: https://twitter.com/adamschefter/status ... 63403?s=21

Re: Camron Meredith to Saints
I'm thinking from this:
Meredith = boost in perceived value due to boost in ceiling... not sure if it will equate to a boost in actual production though. Easy to assume a boost in production cause he's going from Trubisky to Brees, but he'll have more competition for usage in NO and Brees is good at spreading the ball around. I may be in the minority on that thinking though, we'll see. So yes, I would personally sell high to a believer/truther if I had him.
Trubisky = down obviously, Brees = up obviously
ARob = same, Michael Thomas = same, maybe down a little
Burton = up (big winner from this IMO), Taylor Gabriel = up, any other CHI WR's I can't think of = up by default

Re: Camron Meredith to Saints
I can agree with most of these, although I don't see Burton being affected that much. We still have yet to see what that offense does with their new weapons.Life of Pablo wrote: ↑Wed Apr 11, 2018 12:20 pm I'm thinking from this:

Whoooo. Now I can be excited.
Re: Camron Meredith to Saints
Disagree. Never had him anyways. Trubisky's stock is already trending up with the change in offensive scheme, ARob, Burton, and just natural year 2 progression.Life of Pablo wrote: ↑Wed Apr 11, 2018 12:20 pm I'm thinking from this:

Strange move by the Bears. It was for medical reasons apparently but they have nothing at WR. Seems odd to me. Nice get Saints.

^ I get not wanting to pay 2 WRS coming off ACLs.
I mean why compound the risk but yeah it leave them without many options

and they just signed Allen Robinson coming off an ACL injury that happened later than Meredith's did...Space Cowboy wrote: ↑Wed Apr 11, 2018 1:12 pm Strange move by the Bears. It was for medical reasons apparently but they have nothing at WR. Seems odd to me. Nice get Saints.

Re: Camron Meredith to Saints
it is a bit surprising but probably shows some confidence in Kevin White. Arob, White, Gabriel. Probably more 2-TE sets with Burton/Shaheen and throw a mid round rookie into the mix and Cohen and it seems like plenty of weapons for an offense.

Re: Camron Meredith to Saints
The "medical reason" is likely a guise. That being said, just because both players had the same injury doesn't mean that they are healing the same. Arob, though his injury occurred later, could in fact be healing quicker. Many factors here: the surgery itself, the body and the rehab.BigJoeWall72 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 11, 2018 1:37 pmand they just signed Allen Robinson coming off an ACL injury that happened later than Meredith's did...Space Cowboy wrote: ↑Wed Apr 11, 2018 1:12 pm Strange move by the Bears. Re: Camron Meredith to Saints
I don't think he's fool's gold, but I did want to explore selling him and ended up getting the 3.03 and Anthony Hitchens back. So basically the 3.03 and a late 2nd. I'm very happy with that.

Re: Camron Meredith to Saints
I can't imagine them making this move unless they were confident they'd get a rookie early. The team used to get Ridley early 1SF in mocks until that became an obvious bad move. Grabbing, say, James Washington early 2nd would make a ton more sense.Krypto_King wrote: ↑Wed Apr 11, 2018 1:47 pm it is a bit surprising but probably shows some confidence in Kevin White. Re: Camron Meredith to Saints
As a Bears fan who watched him play in his supposed breakout season I was never overly impressed. Chicago was getting housed in those games and Meredith was eating up soft underneath coverage. People seem to forget that he did most of his damage out of the slot in his big year. The Gabriel signing was the nail in the coffin for Meredith imo. When they run a 3 wide set Gabriel will kick into the slot or possibly even Burton. Meredith is still a decent player but the Gabriel and Burton signings simply crowded him out. Barring a trade down in the early rounds I also don't see Chicago taking a wr before the 4th round. Perhaps a cheap vet who knows the system like Maclin is brought in but I'd bet the Bears have already acquired all the high profile pass catchers they will for this year.
