The man just eats in September, I hope he can stay healthy all season. The snap %'s from the post-Sanu era continuing is very encouraging

He's very good. Always liked him and always had him behind DJM from that class. I'm stubborn and won't change that now but I'd have them really close and Ridley as a low end WR1. I wouldn't blame anyone for taking Ridley over him btw, it's mostly the age difference for me. There's just a some guys that are younger or more proven (Adams, Tyreek, DK, AJB, Jefferson, Lamb, Godwin). He was an older rookie and sometimes, fair or not, that will hold back dynasty value. He's in the next range of DJM, Hopkins, Juju, Diggs, Evans, etc for me

I think they bring Matt Ryan back. He's not an elite QB, but he's going to be hard to replace.

Regardless, Ridley is an elite fantasy WR with any decent QB. I don't know my top 10 WR rankings, but I feel like that's a large top tier with no clear top guy. Ridley is in that top tier.
Not all that counts can be counted. Not all that can be counted counts.

I love DJM, have him in a ton of leagues including my main two, but I have Ridley a tier above. Yes he is “older” but he’s still only 26...I look in 3-5 year windows and in that sense he’s young enough.

leading the league in 100 yard games with a bagel and a missed game. I don't know how high to rank him but I wish I had more

Feel.like I've gotta have him behind
AJB, JJ qnd DK from the age gap but similar forward outlook
Hill due to same age but higher ceiling and likely higher scoring
Adams as two year older but if I'm guessing the wr1 on a given year its him

After that he's in that next tier of guys like nuk, MT, lamb, and Terry couple other guys too its a giant tier and exactly where idk.

Calvin Ridley stepping away from Football

Postby Vendetta » Sun Oct 31, 2021 12:57 pm

Very shocking news. He's citing the need to focus on his mental health. Mental health issues are no joke, hoping for the best for Calvin and he gets the help he needs.

Well said. Fantasy football can take a back seat any day someone needs to take care of their mental health. I hope he takes all the time he needs and returns better than ever.

Is this general mental health or was it precipitated by something? Did anyone see this coming? Hope he is alright and this isn't a concussion thing.

Mental health issues are always precipitated by something. Probably had been keeping it private.

I don't think it's a concussion. All signs (as thin as they are at this time) point to a Kevin Love / Naomi Osaka type issue. Like them, he feels like he needs to step away from his work environment for a while and recalibrate himself.

I have heard a few people say that his grandmother passed away a few weeks ago. As I recall there's a tumultuous history with that family, one or both of the parents were deported when the kids (Riley Ridley is his brother) were very young.

Sucks as an owner but these guys gotta take care of themselves physically and mentally. Good on him for recognizing that he needs help and doing something about it. Hope everything works out for him as a person first and foremost…and hope to see him back on the field soon.

💯
Rather this than him "suck it up and play" and end up taking his own life in the future.
